What happens when you move state?
DH was talking to his Mum tonight & was saying how if we moved to QLD (not on the cards that we will, but something I think DH would like to do, seems his family is there)
That Evan would most likely be made to repeat the year he is in.
I butted in & asked why? he DH just said because they have a different system up there..
Is this true? Would they just hold him back or would they do some sort of test to assess where he is at? OR would they just put him in the grade he is meant to be in no questions asked?
Evan (all the kids actually) will be among the oldest in their grade as they all have birthdays at the end of the year. So will all be 5 turning 6 when they start. If Evan was held back a year then he would be even older.
so how does it work when you change schools & States?
