PCO....??
Ok... I posted a thread AGES ago about my problem and our Miricle baby... I'll find the thread and put a link if i can find it...
Quick basic run down... After DS i went on the pill, came off to TTC and had no AF...GP said to wait as it would take time for my body to get back to norma and after 12 month of TTC and still no AF finally found out we werent preg but i had PCO and Dumb GP said i couldnt have kids... Changed back to my old GP and he told me No syndrome just PCO and after bloods found i wasnt producing Progesterone. So after a course of Primulut N i had small bleeding (1/1 day very minor) but enough to get me preggas. (that was the shortened version)
Ok this is where i am now... After having our Miracle DD i had bleeding for 4-5 weeks. Then AF every 2 weeks till week 14... Well i havent had AF since..... I have done 2 HPT and both negative i think my bady has gone back to no AF again... I am BF but it didnt stop AF for the first few weeks and with DS i had them while BF also.
I know we concieved with the help of the Primulut N but i'm worried that if my body has gone back to being naughty and i'm not getting AF that when we decide to try for #3 which i do want (yes its only been 4 months after #2 and i still want another) that it will be alot harder and may not happen. Like we were blessed with #2 and its not our luck to have it happen again... I'm worried that this is it for us...
I dont want to see my GP as he'd think i'm crazy for worrying about it now but i dont want to leave it too late... I'd rather find out now rather then when we want it to happen and we find out it wont happen...I know there are plenty of options to try but i cant get past this feeling that its all over for us...
Should i speak with my GP to get some bloods done to check now for low progesterone or am i worrying for nothing. Also My hair is falling out all over the place... There was a thread about hair falling out post baby but i put it down to the PCO...

I am sorry you are going through so much right now. I really think you need a referral to a gyno. A GP can only do so much, granted there are some amazing GP's out there (thankfully mine is brilliant as was my last one), but unfortunately there are some out there that arent. When in doubt ALWAYS get a second, third or even fourth opinion. It doesnt hurt and it is your body not theirs. A gyno can work out the best form of treatment for you and they will do more specialised hormone testing and various other tests. Just because one has PCOS does not mean you can never have kids, it just means that some form of treatment management plan needs to be inacted to assist in ovulation. I realise how easy this may come across, but unfortunately it isnt however I wanted you to know that your GP is wrong about PCOS, it can be treatable, so please do not give up hope. Try and ask your GP for a referral to see a gyno and you may be surprised at how much more supportive and more informative a gyno can be. If you dont like the gyno, see another one (I am because I was not happy with my last one). The other thing I would recommend is seeing a naturopath, it may be of some help :)
I am thinking of you and I can understand how frustrating PCOS can be. Take care and the best of luck to you.

I'd say its the breastfeeding stopping your AF (I still could be wrong) as even if you are bf'ing you will still have the bleeding right after baby is born (for 4 to 6 weeks, called lochea or somesuch) and then stop bleeding till your body is ready to get back to normal.
Just because you bled while feeding your DS doesn't mean your body will be the same with your DD. Plenty of women have had different experiences with feeding different children.
I'd leave it till your DD is on solids and you are feeding less before doing anything. She's only 5 months so I'm assuming you have left solids till the recommended 6 months (although my DD2 didn't start solids till after 7 months) and is having less bfeeds.
Its bizarre how different PCO sufferers are as my sister had nil AF's and still managed to fall pg naturally twice. Whereas I have regular AF's and had a very difficult time falling pg with my first 2 kids.
Cheers,
Beck
