Hi there,
Has anyone ever had any experience with brachy therapy? My FIL is due to have the therapy soon and I am pregnant with our first child. His doctors have told him that he should not be too close to me at any stage and that he will not be able to hold the baby until november next year (when the baby will be six months). I have never heard of it until now but wondeing if others have any information or have been through similar situations.

My grandmothers husband had this done while I was pregnant and we were told that the first 2-4 months was when I couldn't go near him (which was more of a blessing to be honest :lol: but I digress...). Maybe its a different thing but we were told it was ok after that initial period (not that I have seen him, but you know, in case i wanted to).
Thanks for your response Leasha. I will look into it further and ask a few more questions of the doctors.
