Very faint line

I'm just done a pregnancy test. It has a VERY faint line - barely there but I can see it. Is this a dodgy test or am I pregnant - I would be happy to be but just wondering. Of course next week I will check again and go to docs.

How many DPO are you? And did the line have colour?

A line is a line, faint or not. I would say that is a positive

What type of test was it? I have heard that crystal clear can give false positives.

Can you put a pic up for us to see?

Yes it was crystal clear - it's a blue line and I can see it. I'm not entirely sure of when I am due for AF because it's a little different each month but I kind of expected it this weeks sometime. Anywhere between 18th and 25th I guess. SO it might be early. I'm checking because I'm going to an oyster night tonight - damn it!! I can't have any if I am pregnant.

I wouldn't have any just incase you are pregnant. I had a false positive / evap line with blue colour using a crystal clear. If it is very very faint, I would wait two days and test again. I hope it is though!

For what it is worth, I found a crystal clear test in my bathroom when I was 8 weeks pregnant and thought, what the heck, ill do it to see how bright the line is. And the line was still feint. I know I had at least 75000 hcg in my blood.

I just don't like crystal clear!

Can you get to a chemist/supermarket and get another brand? One that tests super early/super sensitive?

Maybe steer clear of the oysters just in case? Just steal one off of someone elses plate ;)

Okay so I bought another test this mornng - Clearblue which the cehmist said is the rolls royce of tests - ha ha. Anyway it def has a line but still very faint. I figure that maybe because my period prob isn't technically due till later in week (not enitrely sure of exact date). So do you think this could be it??!!!!

I think no matter how faint the line is the test is positive, I have just had the same thing happen (very faint line that took ages to appear) but my period isn't due for ages!

:cheer: CONGRATULATIONS . . .it's definately positive! I got a very faint line 16dpo with two seperate branded tests and I sure was pregnant. If you did another one in a week or so time you'll notice it's gotten much darker as the amount of hCG increases in your urine.

if there is a line there.. no matter how dark or faint it may be.. u are pregnant. congrats!!
