Have you ever tried...
cloth breast pads? I'll post in breastfeeding as well, but I'm wondering if the are some breast pads with the same great absorbancy and trimness as MCNs. I'm going through so many breast pads and it feels like a crime! Not to mention how expensive it is...
ETA I tried the avent ones and they were no good - I found some happy heiny ones and some pea pods ones online, anyone ever tried them?

I have some of Maz's minky breastpads ready to go for when i start leaking!
They seem to hold a fair bit of liquid too - i poured some water over them and they drank it all up
-
I use them (well, used, I don't leak much anymore except when feeding) and found them pretty good. I'm not a fan of Avent (they stick to my nipples and don't hold much).
Seeing as your bub is almost 4 months I'd look into cloth, much easier and you dont feel so bad if you've only leaked a teeny tiny bit (wash instead of throwing away).

Has anyone tried Happy Heiny nursing pads? I don't want to try pea pods because I am not a fan of their nappies.
-
Haven't tried haapy heinys sorry... Can't remember what brand I bought but I liked them. Though they weren't as slim as the sposie ones so you could sometimes see the outline of them through my shirt

LOVE THEM!
Anything that has hemp in it is great - nice and absorbent.
Happy Heinys brand is good.

I bought some swadlebees ones and I wanted to report that they are GREAT! When I first saw them I thought I'd made a mistake by purchasing them, but having tried them I know I didn't. They are much bigger than I expected, but this is a good thing because it means you can't see the outline of them through my shirt. Also they slightly thinner than J&J pads.
And they come in some lovely colours! Hooray!

I bought them online. After my Avent experience I didn't want to trust anything I bought in a store and I wanted to be sure that it had some hemp or bamboo in it. Mine were $17 for a pack of six.
A lot of the sites I've been to for cloth nappies have a 'for mum' section, and that's where I found them. I've only had to use one disposable since they arrived (and were washed) and that's because I had a little graze and I didn't want to get lansinoh on my nice new clean cloth breastpads.

I got some made by a lady. So cheap at 2.50 a pair, one side minky otherside 2 layers of bamboo. Fantastic!!
