Baby record books- how consistant are you?

its come to my conculssion i am one very slack mummy..


With my first DD all her book is mostly filled out minus a few picture

with my second DD, well she has her name and DOB/weight in hers

and my third DD ... well :redface: I dont even have a book for her

they have records in their bluebooks of weight etc when i took them , but i didnt do the regular CHYN visits either


I had every intention of recording everything but time and my goldfish memory just got the best of me....


so anyone else like me... or am i just slack?

hehe don't be too hard on your self dear! I havent even finsished izzys yet... Which reminds me i should go add all the teeth shes got (if i remember when she got them)

I have a couple of things filled out but for what I cant remember I write a rough date. Now that I think about it that's pretty bad as I only have 1... :redface:

I've always been pretty good doing mine, but by saying that I mean I might not do anything with them for months and then spend a day getting all caught up. I have a very good memory, so it's not hard to remember stuff. So the older three all have theirs up to date (and the first two are completed as they only went to 5yo)

i was looking through ashleys last week and i kinda stopped abotu 9 months lol!

LOL thats meeeeeeee....

I really hope I would get better but as the old saying goes you have so many photos of the 1 st then just a few of the 2nd and thrid will wonder if it was ever a baby...lol

I have so many photos of DD2 but have next to none actully printed blooming digtal camras :rolleyes:

DS's is 3/4 full, DD1 has maybe half (and all the dates are guesses I made about a year ago!) and DD2 well...I think sh has her name and birth stats and bracelet and thats about it lol!

So you're not the only slack Mum!

oh i dont feel anywhere near as bad now

but in saying that i have just prucahsed a cute book of ebay for Mj

and am about to cheak out annikas :lol:


how many people are now grabbing out their books to fill out?

you'll need to go through lots of BB posts to find the details of all their milestones now Beatrix!!! if you're like me, everything goes on BB - and then i have to chase it up... i have a preg calendar, but considering due date kept changing, i refused to fill it in - everything is on BB instead - so today, i have set myself a challenge - i need to get it up to date!

Err.. I'm a slack mum.. I think I have filled out 1/3 of Aricyn's ... I couldn't remember stuff.. the teething part I was most up to date with..

And.. uh.. haven't even OPENED Miss M's.. LOL

Ahhh well... :lol:

Thank god DP is a blog addict otherwise we would have no record except for MHCN visits. He has blogged all of DD's milestones so hopefully he will do the same with #2! I am useless at recording that sort of stuff.

I think I am a bit of a Nazi when it comes to baby books. I record EVERYTHING!!
Both my son and daughters books are so full, I have little bits scribbled at the tops of every page! Not quite sure why I need to know when my kids belly buttons fell off or the date they first stayed at Mum and Dads house but oh well. LOL.
And I even have a matching third record book sitting here for the third baby!

I have a few empty record books that we were given, and heath records are all I had growing up, I even forget to write things like 1st tooth and 1st steps in them :redface: But I have never been one for journaling.

I am HOPELESS!!!!
My first is the only one with a completed book, the last 2 dont even have one!!!
BUT I do have HEAPS of photos!!!! :lol:

A comedian once said you have heaps of photos of your 1st, a few of your 2nd, and the only photo of your 3rd child is of his back as he runs away from home!!!! :lol:
