Some silly questions about progesterone tablets - Please help!

I have some silly questions about progesterone - I've never taken prescribed progesterone til now - Doctor has me on 5mg tablets once a day. I take them at night.

I'm wondering about temps - my temps are steadily going up and up - is this a side effect of the progesterone? I always thought that prog. makes your temps steady not necessarily steadily climb? Am I on enough prog. to even affect my chart?

I love my chart, but after 16 cy's I'm scared to get excited in case it's just progesterone making it look good. Can someone please help me out?

I'm no expert, but that looks like a positive preg chart to me! :crossfingers: for you.

On a side note, can I ask why you have been prescribed progesterone? Or how did they diagnose it? was it due to low temps or BT to show low progesterone? My GP is wonderful - When we first started ttc, my LP was anywhere from 9 -12 days and I wasn't really happy with it - I went and saw her and she gave me clomid to help with progesterone production and LP. I hated the Clomid and refused to take it - so I went back 3 weeks ago and asked her for progesterone instead to help which she gave me.

I know what you mean about testing. It's nerve-wrecking isn't it? I must admit I am very POAS-happy :rolleyes: and am dissapointed each time I get a BFN. Don't understand why I do this to myself. Your chart looks really good though, hun. Hope you have something to keep your mind off the stick for another 6 days! Good luck.

Also, will it stop pimples ? I usually get pimples when I'm not pg at around 6dpo, but I still dont have a break out???

I do believe progesterone is what is responsible for raising your BBT so if you are taking a supplement then it is likely to increase your temp a little more than normal. Based on that I wouldn't get too hopeful yet as it could just be because of the supplement. I find it weird that they give women progesterone to encourage or sustain a pregnancy but also give it to us in the minipill to avoid a pregnancy. I guess it's just the difference in the prescribed amount that makes all the difference. Best of luck for a successful cycle.
