Bruin cot from Toys r Us

We bought a Bruin sleigh cot and matching change table from Toys r Us in Canberra. The cot says that the mattress you need to buy is 130cm x 69cm. We bought this sized mattress and it seems way too small. According to SIDS guidelines there should not be a gap of more than 2.5cm between the cot and mattress. However with the mattress we bought (also from toys r us) the gap is approximately five centimeters

Has anyone else come accross this?

i would be going back and telling them the mattress isn't the right size. the boori mattresses are slightly larger - not sure exact size though. if there is more than the regulatory gap i'd go back though

just a question - is it 5cm at one end, and none at the other, or 5cm both ends...
