payment to help with starting year 7..

not sure if im posting in the right section!

a lady i work has her son starting high school next year, and she wondered if the payment still existed? if so, does anyone know how much she is entitled to roughly?

i dont know anything about it, but i vaguely remember hearing something about a payment for when kids start prep....

There has been a payment at the start of each year, $50, for every child at school.

But I did hear that it has been scrapped, Starting Jan, 09.

I 've never heard of a different one for going to high school though, sorry....

Last year DS started High School and I received $300 for him. Not sure if it's the same this year.

It's a Victorian state government payment of $300 which is only given for prep and year 7 students! She should get it as a voucher in the first week of term 1 that you cash in at the post office.
We didn't get the $50 per child that the NSW has scrapped Jodie.
