i've reached the 20 week mark this week, and have to start thinking of putting in my maternity leave form as i work full time as a kindy teacher.
i was just wondering how long before bubs due have most of you gone on maternity leave. i have no idea how long before, you should go on leave, a few weeks/month?

sorry...in my baby brain state i looked for this thread and after posting it i just found it elsewhere...ha ha sorry..
I left end of August 2007 and DD was due end of December. It was great to have that time to myself.
I'm finishing on the 19/12 and bub is due on the 14/2 :)
My last day will be either Monday the 9th or 16th of Feb and bub's is due on the 11th of March! Can't wait! :dance: So I'll be 36-37 weeks :)
I had hoped to finish up 4 weeks prior (working 4 day a week) but i think now i will be finishing up about 2 weeks prior to EDD (maybe only working a couple of days in the last 2 weeks).
But i'm only still working due to financial issues otherwise i would be finishing this week!
pretty sure the standard is34 weeks and then if you want to continue longer you need a GP to sign something saying its safe for you to do so. (thats what it is at my work anyway but maybe each workplace has a different policy)
