Sleep 11months
i am about at my wits end my dd is 11 months old . and has never been a good sleeper , but has just gotten worse to the point its tuesday and ive slept 2 hrs in 3 days .
She is a Tummy Sleeper , still likes to feed to sleep , wont take bottle or dummy , drinks from a cup . sleeps in cot , co sleeping didnt work for us as im a toss n turner and wold just wake her even more , and when ex dh was about he wounld have it . am attempting to cut feeds with cows milk which has been in her diet for ages so maybe not .
Shes not teething she has all her teeth ( yes all ) . i cant get in to the GP for 10 days but i dont think its an ear infection .
She just wont sleep , we cuddle and feed and she is asleep in my arms doesnt matter if i wait 2 mins or 35 she will wake up no matter how gentle i am if i leave her she will crawl up the cot stand up and shake the cot side all bright eyed again ( thanks mum had my recharge .)no cry or controled cry doesnt work she crawls up the cot and sits . no day naps cut them out at 6 weeks . useto have a bed time of 630pm . awake at 830 , 1030 130 230 4 6am that stopped about 9 weeks ago . and was about the best it had been ever . no she will go to bed before 2am if im lucky and sleep for around an hour and be wide awake and ready to go .
So i think ive read every book there is , but somewhere i read about tapping or stroking to sleep ? not really sure how that would work as u put her in the cot she sits up no matter how tired she is .
But does anyone have any suggestions ? cause i have to get some sleep at some point .

OMG Cheryl, I could of written this post word for word!
My DS will be 11 months in a few days and he is exactly the same, I too am at my witts end and everyone and everything seems to be suffering because of it!
Unfortunately I have no answers either, just a big hug to let you know you are not alone!
I'll be keeping an eye on this thread as well, hopefully someone has some answers for both of us!

Miss Chez i hope you are still there, and have not run away, who would blame you !!!
My first boy was exactly the same. After 12 months of trying everything a 70year old BHNurse gave me the best advice and now at almost 5 he is the best sleeper of all the kids i know. Guess you want to know what that was. Well she said "STOP" you are doing something different every 2-3 days or weeks, you need it pick a style that you think you can do for the long term and stick with it for at least 8 weeks. By 12 months they are so confused as to what you want and mean that they can take a long time to sleep well. I used "save our sleep" and it took some time 6weeks at least but he did get it. He to would sit and stand in the cot and that book dealt with it in a way i could handle.
My second boy has refux and is now 8.5 months old and i used the same book with him and he sleeps well for a refluxer( most of the time). So choose something and stick with it, be strong, get help if you need it and focus on the end goal !!!!
Please keep me posted, i really do feel for you, this can rock you as a mum. :grouphug:
