Detox?!?!?
Hi i am just wondering if anyone has gone on a Detox Program to help lost weight, i currently weigh 66kg and would really like to get down to 60 pretty quick i was prescribed Duromine but dont think im over weight and they also sound pretty scary (my Bmi is healthy) and ive heard Detox programs can help shed a few kg's so if you have tried would love to here from you? Which one did you use? And what did it do for you?

How tall are you, what is your BMI and what is your dress size?
Who prescribed Duromine for you?

Im not in a major hurry but would like to drop a lil by xmas :D, im about 160cm tall, my BMI is approx 25.8 clothes size differs dressers are 10-12.
A doctor at a local surgery pre-scribbed them and i have started going to the gym this week been twice, did treadmill, bike and all the machines.

I was looking into the Lemon Detox for my skin. It sounds really good. Check out their website (google it) and read up about it. I dont think you would be able to lose the whole 6kg's in the week, but you could lose about 2 or so.

I ask the questions because I am a health practitioner and it gives me a better idea of the outcomes that can be achieved in various timeframes.
I can't understand the doctor prescribing duromine as you are hardly that big to start off with.
You have an exercise program and if you eat sensible, you should be able to drop 3 to 4 kilos by Xmas.
I recommend Dr Joshi's Holistic Detox to my clients - it is sensible and effective. We drop 2 to 3 kilos in 10 days.
However, I would like to ask you this. If yougained 2 kilos and dropped a dress size, would you be happy with that?
Most people are so focussed on the numbers on the scale, they lose sight of how they look - it is how you look and feel that is important - not the numbers on the scale.
Just something to think about.

Im not so much worried about what the scale says more so about how my body looks even if it was to be toned rather then lose weight id be happy i have quiet chunkcy hips which i hate because i cant wear certain things! But more so id be happy to tghten it al up hehe..
With the whole eating healthy thing, i cant diet i guess not that i cant but i find it so hard but im cutting out junk food. take aways etc but when it comes to dinner meals i eat what every1 else does which usualy consists off meat,vege potato and sometimes rice or pasta, is this ok?

If more people took the approach you are taking, the world would be healthier.
Eat what everyone esle is eating for dinner - who has time or energy to cook separate meals. This way, they end up eating healthier as well. Eat more veggies, less ootatoes and rice at night.
Cut the junk......my business name (company name) is called Cut The Crap and I also own the trademarks for thhese three small words that count volumes. It isn;t about having no crap at all......it is about cutting back. We all love a oice of cake, a donut or whatever else it is you love - but instead of a whole enormouse piece of cake when out, perhaos share it ot have a cookie instead.
While we want to be healthier and fitter and slimmer.......we ALSO want a life!
When it comes to toning, please take a look at callanetics. Callanetics DVDs - New DVD Workout Routines with Spiral Rotations - Real Results - Real Fast - I teach this form of exercise. I flew from Australia to South Africa to train as an instructor and nothing shapes and tones as fast as this exercise form. I will be putting a new website together soon with pics of me at 80 kilos. I have a pic of me pre and post callanetics - totally different size and shape but no difference in weight.

I have had personal experience with Duromine and i would recommend that you do not take them. the side effects are pretty horrid and do not help with long term weight.
I also notice that you have a bubs the same age as mine. If you are still BF i would suggest that any form of detox and especially Duromine which is a speed derivative could be halmful to your little girl....
I am still struggling with weight loss, but i am cutting all the junk out, esp chocolate and biscuits and also writing down exactly what i eat each day... this way it forces you to look at what you are eating and by writing it down you cant pretend that its OK.
Also portion sizes play a big role... could you have a smaller serve and a couple of extra snacks in the day of carrot and celery or something like that. Nuts are high in fat, but will fill you up and are healthier than other high fat foods.
