naturopth? first time....

Has anyone ever seen a naturopath? I am seeing one for the first time this morning.

If you did see one, what positive things can you share about your consultation/s?

I saw a naturopath for the first time back in May due to many years TTC.
I love my naturopath. The first appt involved asking a lot of questions regarding lifestyle, diet, your health concerns, what you are hoping to achieve from treatment.
Every appt after that was basically discussing how I was going with the treatment she prescribed, adjusting treatment plans and to some extent a bit of counselling. I found her to be a great listener and she really helped me when I was having a bad time of it. She was very encouraging and positive which I think also rubbed off on me. (Much more than the Dr's who just say they dont know how to fix you...she was confident she could help me)
The reason I love my naturopath so much is that I fell pregnant after 4 months of treatment. :) So overall, I would have to say my naturopath experience was a very positive one.

Megan, congratulations! I am happy you are expecting. That is excellent what she did for you. My appointment went really well and the things she said were pretty spot on. She also did an extensive health/history check. She is also a counsellor. I really enjoyed the iridology, that stuff just fascinated me. I am not sure whether I'll get anything back from my private health fund but it was really worth the money and much more! I see her again in two weeks to see how I am going. Now my DP is booked in too, he is interested in seeing her also.

You should get something back from your health fund, I know my mum did. But I guess it depends on who your with and what your health fund includes.
I know my reply is a bit late, but ill put my 2c in any ways.
I went to one, and she was absolutely fantastic. She gave me a lot of things to help with various issues I had, and I cannot recommend them enough!
Loved the iridology too, very amazing!

BabyDesigner, nope got nothing back but that's ok, it was well worth the money seeing her. It's been 2 weeks on my herbal medicine etc and I feel unreal. I have stopped the pill too (was taking Yasmin), never felt better!!!
