Brisbane IVF Clinics - QFG, Monash & City Fertility

Hi Everyone!

DH and I live in Brisbane and we are thinking of changing IVF clinics .. I thought what could be a better way to ask about clinic's and dr's is to ask people who are currently undergoing IVF etc ...

1) ... are you with your original clinic ?

2) ... which clinic did you leave and why ?

3) ... which clinic are you using now ?

4) ... what the prices are for a full IVF, FET and who your Dr is ..

We've been with our current clinic since March 2007 - since then we've done 3 IVF's - with 1 IVF cancelled :( .. and numerous FET cycles all resulting in BFN :cry: ..

I know with our current clinic - City Fertility, Wickham Terrace the prices have gone up :rolleyes: .. a full IVF up front is around $ 6,300 ..

any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated ..

I found the team at City Fertility to be most supportive and would use them again :) We were with Dr Das and found his knowledge and experience lovely. He was also open to us using natural therapies as well

we're currently with city fertility - and YES they are lovely .. we've had no problem with them as a clinic - just wondering or more less if after 3 IVF's, numerous FET cycles and several operations (lap/hyst april 08 and a D & C because of stupid AF playing up so much) if it would be worth trying a new clinic to get a new approach and new opinions ..

Don't get me wrong - I JUST LOVE OUR DR .. she's fantastic !!!! .. I just don't know what to do atm .. my head is all over the place ...

Hi there. I used QFG. They were the only clinic we used. I am not sure of the current pricing of a full IVF or FET cycle as it has been just over a year since my last treatment.

Off the top of my head I think when I had my cycles with them a full IVF cycle was about $5,500 (that was early 2007 though) and I know my last FET was about $1500 in OCT 07. There is quite a lot of Dr through this clinic. I used Dr Barbara Hall and really like her. She always made me feel very comfortable, explained everything for me and was very caring. I also found the staff at the clinic really lovely too, and if and when I choose to try again I would go back there again.

No did not think you were unhappy :) it took us 6 stims to get a BFP.

Have you tried accupunture? It helped me alot we used Beau at Positive Balance.

There is also a really good TTC meetup in Brisbane for breakast the girls are great maybe worthwhile going along for a chat

We did our cycle with QFG. We went with a "country clinic", but drove to Brisbane (about 12 hours from us) for EPU and transfer.

For pick up and transfer we were to see Warren DeAmbrosis, but he was on holidays, so we ended up seeing Scott Salisbury, he is absolutely fantastic. I was nervous, and he held my hand while the anaethetist put me off to sleep, telling me that he would look after me, and all would be fine..

I received a friends of QFG newlsetter that had the price increases on it, and I wrote it on here for someone, will see if I can find it for you. :)

eta: Ok, price for IVF cycle is $5830, IVF/ICSI is $6210. Don't know if there has been an increase or not? I just paid for 6 months storage, and it is still $150 for 6 months. Not sure how current they would be though? but shouldn't be too far off the mark hopefully.
