Severance pay?
I don't know if this is the right place...
If you're permanent part time and are let go (I was asked to go full time, but as part time worked for me - especially financially - I said that I was willing to do part time only... Was then told that a postition was no longer available as of that day /time..).
What am I entitled to? I want all my holiday and sick pay, but do I get some sort of severance pay?

I higly doubt it. Were you classified as permanent part time or just part time?
It might have some bearing - call your union perhaps?

They have to pay out your annual leave entitlements, and if your work at that company addes up to equivalent of 7 years full time or greater, they also have to pay out pro rata LSL entitlements.
There is no requirement for them to pay you for unused sick leave accruals.
I would be getting some advice, it doesnt sound altogether legal what they have done to you, they've tried to force you to full time and then fired you becaause you said no?

thats basically what happened rayray. I was there 3yrs 10mths. I had come back off maternity leave to help them out, then went back on for a few weeks, then back perm part time. They stuffed me round from nights to afternoons to mornings back to nights and again back to mornings, just in the last 3 months. To top it off, I was their longest staying employee, we have had such a high staff turn over. But I know I was perm part time.

Im about to email the supervisor, who seems to be brown nosing his way to being depot manager, about what I'm entitled to.

Rhianon, give the IR hotline a call. They should be able to tell you. Is this the same company who wanted to move you to a different location and make you go back on probation after your ML? They sound dodgy to me. Don't let them get away with anything illegal hun.
