I'll keep this quick - Mackenzie who is 14 months old is being extremely tiring these last few days. She's whingy, points at and demands everything, doesn't like to be left alone - not even playing on the floor for 5 minutes etc. We have moved to my parents so I know a lot is going on so if its just because of that I understand but...I'm not convinced. She's always been a happy baby and adaptable to new situations. She has her own cot here as well as toys. Any ideas? Or sympathy?
oooh yeahhhh lots of sympathy... DS was horrible when he was 14 months - 19 months. I could barely put him down.. it was all whinge whinge whinge, point point point. Drove me freakin insane.
I got a bubba moe sling and carried him around all the time - got slightly better when he walked at 15.5 months - but only slightly..
Just ride it out babe - it won't last forever (my mantra I repeat to myself every day!!)
Lots of sympathy. She is not teething is she? YOu have just described my DD when teeth are coming through.
I was about to suggest the same thing! My DS2 is exactly the same when he cuts a tooth.:
I'm not sure if she - hard to tell - no obvious bumps though she does bite on wood (cot, chairs ertc.) sometimes.
I know it happens to everyone but its sooo hard!!! Especially cause my DH will be in Melb working 4 nights so I will be on my own for most of those.
I feel your pain. My DH is away for 3 months ATM and DS is really ramping up the sooky/tantrum behaviour. He has two molars coming through so hopefully it settles soon.
Sorry, no solutions, just sympathy.
DS is the same right now (and 14 mths old tomorrow!) he's also getting more teeth through so thinking it could be that.. Hoping so anyway...
Lots of sympathy from here :hug:. We had a horrible week like this with Miss E a couple of weeks ago - turns out she was having some sort of tired patch, I think it might have been a growth spurt and maybe she was too tired to eat enough? Anyway it settled down after a bit. She had some extra sleeps and I was careful to have lots of little times where I just sat down and gave her my full attention and then she was better again.
It also could be that you're feeling worn down yourself and she is noticing this and playing up as a result. I'm sure it will pass soon.
