2 year old Clingy to me
Last couple weeks DD has become really clingy to me.
She has some better days then days when Df can't do a thing for her without her crying and wanting me. Even little things like when she finishes dinner and Df goes to remove her plate she'll cry "mummy do it mummy do it".
She wants me to carry her up to bed everynight but being nearly 6 months preg makes it hard to carry her upstairs!
And I work 2 days week, one day she's with Df the other with my IL's. So last Thur when I took her to IL's she was all happy to be there but as soon as I said my goodbyes and told her I was off to work she cried "cuddle mummy" over and over and apparantly this went on for 45 mins! She been going there weekly since I went to work nearly 18 months ago and never been that upset.
I'm hoping its just a phase cause I'm worried what things will be like when bubs comes. I wonder if she is like this because of the pregnancy but I don't think she really knows whats going on, she knows there is a baby in mummys tummy but thats it, we haven't set up nursery or changed anything.
So just seeing if any suggestions out there what I can do and how long this lasted for others. We don't give into her, we do say no daddy going to do such and such. And we been trying for Df to play more with her and I leave so its just 2 of them and thats usually ok.

DS was totally like that from when I started showing - all the way through - up until about the last month of my pregnancy.
Then all of a sudden - he turned into a daddy's boy... I think what helped is that DH would get up to resettle him of a night time because it was too hard for me to lean over the cot to resettle. So I think DS got used to that extra contact, at a time where he needed more comfort IYKWIM?
Now that things have settled down - he's back to being a mummy's boy
I have no suggestions - but just letting you know that there is hope

hun
It could also just be her age
Im not pg but Annika is insisting i carry her everywhere, its always "up mummy up" and i cant really carry her and MJ at the same time.
she has even started to cry when i leave her at daycare (unless her fav carer is there) she has always been carefree in that way but not atm.
i really hope the phase passes and i just try to show her i love her as much as possible when i can.. and try and teach her that unfort she doesnt have mummy to her self all the time
