i only charge what Aus post charges and only use prepaid sachels.
I would weigh the item and then calculate which bag i need from there (500gm or 3kg).
:)
If possible, use pre-paid satchels, it makes life easier for you as you can charge a flat rate.
You can calculate postage rates for larger parcels at the Australia Post website. On the left-hand side of their home page you can click on the link "Calculate Postage Rates", then click on "Parcels within Australia". You can then enter the postcodes, weight and dimensions and you will be given a postage quote.
Good luck :D
thanks PP and Trish....
Think i will definately have to get organised and have a big clean out.
now jut to get my head around ebay fees ....LOL
You can get a sheet from AP as well babe...its pink and it has all the zone son it with the weight amount and price for that amount.
Also buy yourself or get a pair of digital kitchen scales....so much easier when you know how much things weigh so you dont undercharge the customer and overcharge yourself
thats a brilliant idea maz ..... thanks honey
I just use the prepaid satchels for things that will fit. Those that dont.. make sure you dont supply an approximation on your auction as i got caught out once when a nappy bag was sent the north queensland. I thought $10 would cover it.. $30 later i was a bit out of pocket for my mistake! So in that case just work it out on the Australia post website. You just need postcodes to and from, weight and measurements of the item.
