It's almost over!
Oh, I'm so devestated!!
Since we moved last week, my darling ds has decided he no longer requires mummys milk :( :crying:
I can't believe it! I was planning on weaning at 18mths anyway, and he did it all by himself at 15.5 mths. I cried the other night when he rejected me, but took a bottle instantly. He pushed away and carried on and tried to roll off my lap, just to get away.
In a way, its a good thing, coz I wont have to force him to do it a few months down the track, but he's now a real little boy - so independant.
He will still take some early in the morning if he wakes and does want some to soothe back to sleep, but other than that, nope!
on another note - how much milk should he be having now? He'll drink between 200-250 at bed time, but not much else thru the day ....

I think they just need 3 serves of dairy a day, be it from yoghurt, milk or cheese.
:comfort: for mummy

 Oh hun, I know how you feel. Neither of boys played along with my plan to bf for 2 years. But you have done a fantastic job to bf for so long.
There is no minimum amount of milk - they don't need any actually. But you do need to make sure he gets 3 serves of calcium a day. This can be from dairy - yoghurt, cheese or milk, or non-dairy sources such as fish with bones, almonds, broccoli etc.
Enjoy this next phase of your relationship hun. It's sad when they self-wean, but you won't lose that special bond.
