$660 as well as the $1000????

i know this might sound completely mad but my friend mentioned that on top of the $1000 k-rudd money you also get a one off payment of $660. is this true???

the only $660 ish amount at the moment is the supplement payments at the end of the financial year when tax is done..

it's the ftba that is held back til the end of the financial year - if you have over estimated your ftba, you get a top up amount including the supplement of 667 (and a few odd cents!)

Tis true, you need to submit your 'non-lodgement' form to the ATO, AND call the FTO to get it though...there was a thread on that a while back I think where Beeg was particularly helpful. :)

D - you should notify the ATO that you won't be lodging a tax return - if you don't, they'll start sending you letters to your last known address asking about previous years - it's a simple form (and you might be able to do it online but not sure)

if you haven't already done it, you should notify FAO as well - if you've received your supplement payments once DH did his tax, it means FAO already know your details, but if you didnt, give them a call (or go online if you're registered) and advise that you're not lodging a tax return (please don't ask me how to do it online - i have NO idea if i don't have the info at hand to guide me!)

Hmmm.... I've just logged on to the ATO website and having a look.

I didn't receive the supplement and I'm sure I over-estimated DH's wage. Will get onto it!

You can't do the ATO thing online, I asked and they said no cos you have to sign something. But you can download the form online.

And with the FTO, you call them. That's the best way I reckon, because she told me (after a looong wait) how much we would get straight away, and when we'd get it. :)
