Ewcm or sperm how to tell

well look this might sound so stupid but im very serious does any one else have any trouble telling the difference between EWCM AND SPERM??
my mum always told me that the cm should be STRETCHY like from one finger to the other but to be honest i have never taken notice until this month as im trying to tell AND I CANT i no this sounds gross but i can leak sperm for a couple of days after doing the deed some times (i know a tmi moment pmsl but have to ask)
so any info would be great just to help me understand what im looking for ddddddddrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr smithy lol:p

It is not a silly question at all. I had the same problem. Have a look at the thread below as I found it really helped me 'see' what EWCM actually looked like. This has real photos of a ladies cervix and mucus but it is very interesting and may help you tell the difference :D Good Luck!

It is very annoying trying to figure out what is happening with our bodies when we have our DH's little men swimming in the wrong direction :rolleyes: - out!

When I was told egg whites, it didn't make sense, until I saw the picture and it clicked.
I think CM is more globby and stretchy and sperm is just sticky and yucky :lol:.

If you can get a sample drop it into a glass of water - ewcm will sink to the bottom and sperm will float to the top

Thanks for this post, its the first giggle ive had in awhile. Ive wondered the exact same thing but been to chicken to ask (and google let me down) as when the egg white stuff appears you tend to have more "fun" and I get very confused. This month I might be able to tell the difference

Hi Ladies!
Some help please.... Last couple of days I have been having lots of cervical mucas not egg white just white on on my undies (sorry) last night me and the hubby had sex.
Did not go to the bathroom until about 3 hours later, this morning if i check my mucas it is egg whiteish and i can stretch it betwwen my fingers - is this sperm from last night or the good mucas???
I finished my last clomid tablet on the 9th March so if i have just ovulated it would be very late no?
im very confused....

i've noticed that leftover spermies kinda have a funk to them while EWCM does not.
i've heard about the glass of water thing but haven't tried it..maybe i'll give it a shot this cycle.
