ok she tells us when she needs to go but then wont.....

DD has started telling us when she needs to poo.
i will put her on the potty and she wont go (she did once yesterday but she was half way there when i put her on).

it is a struggle to keep her on, i sing songs and show her books but she will last 5 minutes then hop off the toliet and then poo onthe floor??

any hints?

Is she on the potty or on the big toilet? She will find it harder to get off the big toilet..

My only suggestion is to get tough without getting tough kwim? simply say no you are a big girl now.. Lets do our poo and then we can go play/colour in. or any activity she chooses.. Don't sound like you are rushing her but make it light but firm..

hope i made sense.. This is what I did with my boys

she is on the big toliet on a seat that sits under the lid.
She knows what the toliet is for as she comes in when i flip her poos into if from her cloth nappies :)

i wont push it but as soon as she tells me she needs to poo i will try to get her to sit longer... ahhh
