Where do you store shoes?

Hey guys...

Dh and I don't have a huge amount of shoes but we do have a few pairs each of thongs, sandals, runners, and going out shoes.

Where do you put yours? I have NO room in our walk in robes...

Would love some space saving ideas!

We keep ours in a massive shoe rack in our laundry. I bought two plastic racks that can stack together to make one really big one.

I have a trunk next to the front door we keep our shoes in.

BY the front door in a neat pile...or in a shoe rack in our wardrobe

hanging shoe rack from kmart / big W / ikea - hangs from the rail in your wardrobe. You can get them in nylon or canvas :)

Big wicker basket (with lid) from Freedom that I can just chuck em in cos I'm not tidy enough to pair them on a shoe rack.

I like the idea of them being out of sight cos they are so untidy looking even when they are paired. I like the idea of a big basket with a lid! But is it a PITA to get a pair from the bottom?

I have way too many shoes :) i store them in clear shoe boxes stacked ontop of each other - they are in the wardrobe though. I love that i can see which pair i want at a glance without having to sort through them. It also stops them from getting damaged.

we keep our shoes where ever we kick them off, usually just inside the bedroom door. I make sure DS shoes are in his wardrobe though otherwise we are constantly searching

I don't like our shoes being visible either however we have our's just inside our front door on a shoe rack. They are neat and tidy (most of the time) however i will keep an eye on this thread for another idea...... i'd keep em' in the laundry but we have no room in there its so tiny.

I store mine in a big wicker basket and DH's in a blanket box.
Yep it is a pain to get one's right on the bottom, but I generally keep my rarely used shoes on the bottom (for obvious reasons) and the ones you wear the most just end up on the top :dunno:

Ours are stored on a shoe rack at the front door.

I store my shoes...in a mess!

We store ours in our WIR under all the hanging clothes on shoe racks

We have a wooden shoe rack on the verandah for DH's grotty work boots and his brother's filthy sneakers, but I have bucketloads of pretty stilettos so I keep them in one of those canvas things you can buy for in your wardrobe (I have to keep them locked up somewhere so the puppy doesn't chew them all!!). It's great because the canvas rack thingee only takes up a little bit of room in my wardrobe, hangs off the rail with a coathanger hook, and all you have to do is stuff a pair in a spare spot (although now I'm storing two, sometimes three pairs in each hole!).
