How long to continue panadol with a cold??

DD got her 2nd cold last week, complete with full on runny nose so I started with Panadol to help her symptoms. It seemed to help considerably but it's now day 6 of her cold and her nose is still quite snuffly and blocked up. I can hear the boogers in there but she cannot seem to get them out, even tried saline drops to sneeze them out.

I'm wondering how long I can continue to give her the Panadol and do I keep it up until her symptoms are better or gone??

I haven't given her any since late afternoon yesterday so any suggestions would be great?

Ive only ever used it for around 4 days max.....then stopped cos i thought anymore might be bad.

Have you tried Dimetapp? THats great for colds.

i dont give panadol for a cold unless she has a temp or is in obvious discomfort, i think 6 days is too long for continuous panadol, id try what kim suggested and try dimatapp or demazin, though you will need a script from the dr. i doubt panadol will be doing anything for the cold

Ok might see Dr. I only gave the panadol for 4 days (the first day she only had 1 dose). She hasn't had it since yesterday.

might be worth seeing the dr, sucks now you haved to see them just to get demitapp! hope she gets better soon :hug:
