Bleeding....
Hiya All,
I havent been in here for a few weeks and just wanted to let everyone know what has been happening, as when I first posted, everyone is just so lovely and caring.
On Decenber 9th, I was sitting at my son's school all ready to watch him graduate Year 7, when I felt something was not wright. I said to my sister, I have either wet myself, or I am bleeding, with that, we went to the toilets, and there was blood everywhere. My sister went and called Mum, and then she took me up to the hospital.
I was so upset that I was going to miss his graduation.... I have waited 7 years for this, and I didnt get to see it.
I got up the hospital, and told them what was happening, that I was 11 weeks and I was bleeding. Then we waited for 2 hours before I was called in, and that was just to check my temp and blood pressure. I had to do a urine test aswell.
I think I waited another 2-3 hours before the Doctor called me in. She told me that I had a urine infection, she asked if I felt buring when I wee'd, and I said no. She then proceed to do an internal, she said all looked fine, there was no tissue and no clots, but she said she couldnt tell if my cervix was open or closed.
Then we had another waiting game, the gyno was in emergency surgry and I had to wait for the Doctor to talk to them before I could go home. In the meantime, I was kinda scared and worried, but in all honesty I was more upset that I missed my son's gradution... Is this bad?
They checked my blood pressure again and it was very high, and they were a little worried. By 5:30pm the Doctor said I could go, and that I had to go to the Early Pregnancy Unit 2 days later.
Thursday came and before I had my antinatal check up, I went to the other clinic, and they done an ultra sound ( internal mind you), they couldn't really see anything so I had to wait for another Doctor to come and do it, and they said that the Baby was fine, heart beat 150bpm and moving lots.
They said ( and I have read a few posts) that bleeding is a natural thing to happen while pregnant, they said it was more the likely a corner of the placenta that tore away.
So if that is that case, could the tare get bigger???
So now the bleeding has stopped, but it doesnt stop me worrying. I do get some brown tinge when I wipe, some days its a little and other days there is none at all. I wear a pad just incase.
Also when I wipe, if there is no brown tinge, I can see yellow, from what I have read in here, that also is the norm.....
The things we do..... And the joys. :D

Hi huggabug, that sounds like a terrible thing to go through. Don't worry about missing your sons graduation - if you had stayed and something happened to the baby he may blame himself. At the end of the day he has graduated and you can always have special bonding time by talking about the night together, one to one talking can sometimes be more important than being there in person.
I'm glad everything has settled down.

Oh sweetie I had similar at 10 weeks I am now 25 weeks I am in Brissie if you want someone to chat too

Like TL :hugs: you poor love. It is scary and I have had 3 bleeds this go. Apparently it is 'normal' but as the mum it mkaes it none the less frightening.
However I so understand that you felt more strongly about your son. Just rescently I had a placental abruption (lift of the placenta) at 25 weeks. This was fairly serious, but my husband got quite cross when all I was concerned about was the welfare of my 2 year old.
Glad all is well with you.

Thank you ~ ubba, tiggerlinda & Kim... I knew I was write, you are all a bunch of caring beautiful people, thank you so much for your kind words...

Huggabug- I had pretty much exactly the same thing happen to me, too. I know how you feel when the doctors say everything is fine but you can't help but worry. All I can say is stay positive and if the docs say all is good, then it is. Easier said than done.

Hi huggabug,
I too bled at 13 weeks and because I had a previous loss at 19 weeks I thought the same thing was going to happen to us again. The doctors told me pretty much the same thing that you were told , that it was membranes tearing away from the uterine wall. I had(stupidly) pushed a shopping trolley the day before that was too heavy for me. Anyway I went on to have a healthy baby girl and Im sure you will go on to have a healthy bub too.
Take care of yourself

Just checking in on you hope you are feeling a bit better

I can't believe the hospital made you wait that long! I would have been so annoyed, I mean you could have been miscarrying while sitting there waiting for them to look at you. You poor thing what a rotten day you had. I can understand you feeling upset about missing your sons graduation too. I hope everything is ok now and you have had no more bleeding.
Big hugs!

I am another one who had bleeding after using a heavy shopping trolley first time around, I had bleeding each time AF was due too it wasn't pleasant.
this time around it hasn't been as bad but still very stressful, again just if I bent down or lifted anything too heavy. I have been using coles online for most of the groceries and Dh puts them up on the bench for me too put away.
Thank god for my GP whoI can go and see whenever I get stressed out too much he does a heart check and reminds me to take it easy. I haven't had bleeding now since about 20 weeks so hopefully its stopped.

Sorry to hear what you've been through and I hope all is ok now and you're feeling well and positive.
I would feel absolutely the same about missing my DD;'s graduation, and I think that is quite normal. Just don't beat yourself up that you weren't there. Can you sit and watch a dvd with him of it?
take care xo

Hey,
I just wanted to let you know that I know how you are feeling!! I had bleeding from 28 weeks with my 2nd DS right up until he was born, usually every 5 - 6 days. A few times we had to be rushed to hospital in an ambulance there was so much blood lost. We never ever found out why there was bleeding but in the end I gave birth to a perfectly healthy boy!! I know how distressing it can be.. checking every time you go to the toilet.. worrying yourself silly about it. I know that whatever anyone else says will not stop that worrying, but you definitely have to rest up, look after your self and that bubba, and if you are ever worried, go straight to the hospital. What is the least they can do?? Send you home??? Best to check it out I say!! Believe me if the hospital had frequent flyer points for my last pregnancy I would be swimming in them!!
Take care and keep us posted!!

Hi Guys, I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!!!!
Just wanted to check in with you all.... As I had said in my las post, bleeding ( red blood ) has stopped, but every few days I do get when I wipe a light brown tinge. When I went for my last ultra sound, the radiologist was so nice, he said if its like a browny colour, I wouldn't worry to much, when he was doing the ultra soud he could see the tare.
I went to the hospital on the 24/12 for my check up, and I asked if the tare would get bigger and he said NO, wich is a kind of relief.
He also tried to hear the baby's heartbeat, I heard it a little bit, but he couldnt get it in the right postition, maybe cos I am bigger then my last pg.

Great news sweetie, Take care and try to relax

Great news my bubba still hides behind the placenta for her scan and heartbeat checks
