Fell out of our bed :(
DS2 fell out of our bed this morning :( and i was mortified because it was quite a drop. He's fine but it was a big scare. I usually bring him through to our bed for his 4/5am feed, he stays til he wakes at 7am. My first ds wasn't really mobile until about 7 months, so i was shocked he'd made his way from the middle all the way off our bed! I will have to be more careful :wall:

Oh dear, i bet it gave you and bubby a big scare.....glad your DS is ok

Hugs! It happens to the best of us. I found those bed rail things for toddlers great on my bed for this reason, just incase :)

Glad he's okay. What a scare when so little! When I was little, but not that little, I often fell out of bed...and continued sleeping on the floor! Lucky my room was carpetted although my Mum has told me I had fallen off her bed as well and kept sleeping and her room has floorboards...

Aww glad he's fine. I'm sure most mothers would tell you it has happened to their children as well, I can definately say my DD has had a fall off our bed. Scary though isnt it, sometimes I think they are tougher than we think.

Oh gosh, it makes you feel sick hey? I don't like to think about how many times DS has fallen off our bed in the past 12 months  I mean, it's not like every week, but it has happened more than once. He seems to have survived.
I'm sure your DS is fine, clever little monkey!

Oh you poor thing, how frightening! At least you know your not the only one!

Thanks ladies... yeah hearing that thud was the most awful feeling. All i remember is my dh poking his head in to say goodbye, i'd just finished bf DS2, and i must have dozed off and he obviously didn't, usually he does too. I am usually such a light sleeper so i cant believe i didn't hear him making his way to the side, he is only 5 months and can't crawl so he would have had to roll a few times. This is definately a sign i need more sleep!
