Hi Sakoon
Sorry I can't help but I'm really interested to know what people have to say...I've been looking at the Strider Deluxe too.
What is important to you in a stroller?
Do you want to be able to stuff lots of things into the baskets and so on? Do you need it to be easy to lift out of the car? These two things do not generally go together!
We have a Maclaren Techno XT, which is very light and has thus far been terrific - but it does not hold much in the way of shopping!
dont think we will need a huge basket
but definitely want it to be light
I love my love n care nova (with bassinette)
I love my steelcraft profile. and the safe n sound unity capsule you can use with it. great buy.
do you think its neccessary to get a bassinet?
i found the bassinette handy in the early days as depending on the stroller, its how u turn it into a reversable one? so the bassinette faces the opposite way (well it does with the beema anyway). but in saying that i had to use folded up terry nappies to prop up bubbies head as she had reflux and hated lying flat in it. the only problem with the big fancy prams is their size in your car. we got a new car after bub was born and our pram didn't fit it so we ended up using that pram for walks around the block and a cheap target stroller for out and about that has different lying positions. its only really good for the shops though as the wheels are crap on the street.
I have the Steelcraft Enigma and LOVE it. It's light to lift into the car, compacts down nicely when folded, can be forward or rear facing (been told of recent newspaper articles talking of the benefits of having baby facing you for as long as possible to avoid unnecessary stress) and it has a nice basket underneat, and all the wheels do 360 degree turns. I lock in the back wheels and it steers beautifully. i can even hold DD in one arm and still steer it no problems with one hand.
I too HIGHLY recommend the Steelcraft Enigma!
it is everything snowchickie79 says and a whole lot more - its fantastic
i have a childcare holla 4 wheeler - the bassinet and strolLEr seat are one theY clip to become either . i have found it light and esy to manover very study and i walk around 3 to 4 kms every other days and it steers like new 12 months on . the seat or in bassient for faces either way and its the seat that turns not the handle
reasonable size basket and comes with zip in sun and rain covers and matching foot muff . it was around the $300
I have a Steelcraft Strider and LOVE it! We did use the bassinet attachment for the first four months. Now we are using the stroller bit and it's great. I love how you can have bub facing you and the shopping basket underneath is a great size.
I love the Maclarens.. cant beat them!! I've had 4 kids and never seen the need for the basinettes.
