Names like these?
Were expecting twins in June and decided not to find out the sex... so technically i need two girls and two boys names - with middle names (if i can manage that many!)
All i know is the first born boy needs DH name as his middle name - which is Ryan.
So far I've got...
BOYS
Lucas
GIRLS
Lidia/Lydia
Shelby
Kendra
Not so sure on any of them really... but cant really think of any more that tickle our fancy!
Do you lovely ladies know of any similiar to these we might like? Or do any of these stand out to you?
I dont really like unusual names, but i dont want extremely common names - IYKWIM?
Its no use asking our family & friends, they seem so judgemental and a few are TRYING to be humourous (with no luck) thinking of rhyming names - like Eric & Derek... not cool for twins IMO.
-
I really like Lucas.
I will give it a go but since I think your girls names are unusual I'll apologise in advance if I go off on the wrong tangent :)

My favourite name for a girl at the moment is Quinn. It could easily be used for a boy too.

You could try using the baby names site Nymbler (add a dot com at the end ;)) and put in the names you like, it will then give you a list of other names that suit you.
Best of luck!

Hey, If you go onto the Births, Deaths and marrages website, You can search on the top 100 most popular names since 2000. That sould give you an idea of whats out there. and then help to see whats common. After that I just went through a Baby name web site and wrote down every name I liked. My DH has a thing about what the names mean so that cut out alot just because they mean something he dosn't like Grr unhelpful. We settled on two first names for each gender and middle names from a grand parents (Ours)

Okay I'm going to try and go from the kinds of name make up based on your preferences and extrapolate.... maybe.
Boys:
Travis
Jarvis
Ellis
Girls:
Alba
Arna
Julia
Amelia
Hm will think and get back to you. Any of these tempting?

every time i watch tv or listen to teh radio i always listen out/read the credits for any names that i like. I thought this would be easy - but nup, its definately 100 times more difficult than i thought!
austenteaparty, julia and amelia have a nice ring to them, but the boys names dont really do much for me.
Thanks so much for everyone's help though, surprising how you can get the most help from strangers but a half assed effort from some of your closest family & friends!

Hi SJ
I think names are the hardest things to pick. my hubby an di had our name from abut 15 /20 weeks for a boy and then 6 weeks before he was born i decided i didn't like the name anymore and had to go through the arguments about a new name. My favourite names are Brearna (brea-r-na) and Jaylan of course.
Are you using your first name or middle name if you have a girl???
Other favourtie names are:
Boy
Harrison
Saxon
Tyson
Rylan
Girls
Mackenzie
Charli
Dakota
Avara
Hope this helps...
