I am trying to compile a list of things still to get and I'm wanting a hug-a-bub sling. The ones with pockets are $115 and the ones without pockets are $79.95. I'm just wondering what is so good about the pocket that warrents paying an extra $35 :o Wouldn't that make baby uncomfortable if he was being carried with other stuff jabbing him from the pocket?! Have I totally got the wrong idea? Is it for some other purpose? :redface:
If its anything like the Ergo - maybe its a handy spot for your house keys and spare change, so you don't have to carry your handbag or whatever if you are quickly popping out? :dunno:

I have a home made one with no pocket but I think its for putting the HAB into when you aren't using it? It's a pretty long piece of material otherwise and if you put it in the pocket you can chuck it in a bag or in the car etc? Could be wrong!
Yep you can use the pocket to fold up your HAB when not in use. When carrying, i would put my phone/keys into it.
Yeah its easy to put the HAB into the bag when youre not using it, but I wouldnt pay the extra ust for that iykwim? I would put my key card and maybe phone...but keys would jab my bub :(
Wow - didn't know you could get one cheaper without the pocket. That's a lot extra just for the pocket!
I only ever use it to stuff the HAB into as a little bag thing. Mind you, it would be painful to put fold up and put away without the pocket hehe. But $35 is a huge jump in price for it.
Half the time i wouldtie it in a big knot!

I'm so used to it though that I can't imagine it not having one. I love how you can quickly and easily stuff it in itself and it becomes a neat little package and I put my phone in it when wearing bub.
I have a couple in the centre without the pocket, yep it is cheaper to get one without it...
Unless you need somewhere to put your smokes and a stubby maybe????
you could sew your own pocket on, i do find it handy to have a pocket as you just shove the whole wrap into it. it is expensive but then the hug a bub itself is expensive just for a piece of fabric and a dvd telling u how to use it when u can find out online. in saying that, if you have a colicky baby, the hug-a-bub will most likely save your sanity and is worth way more than any rrp!! ps. i used the pocket for infants friend and a dummy in the early weeks :shhh:
I loved the pocket. It turns inside out and has a draw string so it goes like a little bag. I used to keep my keys, wallet and phone in there. No it doesn't jab bubs :)

I never used the pocket in mine other than to put the HAB in while I wasnt using it so for me that would be a good selling point especially for the difference in price.
Hmm thanks girlies! I wish I didn't know about the pocketless ones, then I wouldn't even think twice about it! LOL lulu! If that's the case then I don't need one!
I like the idea of being able to pack it away in itself though. I just can't get over how much it costs - if I had any sewing skills I would make one myself. I might just get the pocketless one and I can always attempt to sew on a pocket if I can't seem to manage without it :p Just a few more questions...
When you go out and about wearing baby in the HAB, I'd imagine you still need to take a bag, you couldn't possibly fit everything in the pocket, so wouldn't the pocket be kinda not necessary and not as useful if you have to bring a bag as well? I guess it's more of a convenience thing in that regard? Ahh I guess I'm pretty lazy and if my phone started ringing at the shops and baby was asleep I'd rather just grab it from the pocket than fumble through bags. But wait...then baby would probably wake up all the time when the phone rings if he's being carried with it :doh:
Okay, I've just confused myself even more...I'm just gonna get one without the damn pocket! If I feel I really need one I'll try out my craftiness and make one! I plan to use it a lot around the house to get things done rather than out and about because he will often be in his capsule straight from the car in those circumstances.
