Home birth after caesarean information?
No, we haven't even set a date to TTC #2. It'll be 2011 sometime... No, we haven't even decided if it'll be me or Shel. And no, I haven't completely healed from Jasmine's birth.
Despite all that, I have told Shel that I would like a home birth with a midwife, and possibley doula as well, for my next birth. The contractions were regular, getting stronger, and things progressed LOVELY when I was at home, and the problems began when I got to the hospital. My body was labouring perfectly. And I believe that I can do it next time.
Of course, Shel has some 'conditions'... basically that we have to live reasonabley close (within 20 minutes) to the hospital, and if labour goes longer than 24 hours again that we go to the hospital. I also think she is humouring me, so I'd like to just keep chipping away at her homebirth phobia for the next two years until a hospital birth seems like a foreign idea  That and I know I'm far too emotional to rational discuss it during pregnancy and most conversations ended in me crying lol
Anyway, where can I find some general information on home birth after c/s that I can print off? Any good websites? Any books I can buy? What about some VBAC books? What does 'Silent Knife' focus on?
