She just wont eat

DD has been teething full on for about 4/5 days now. The dr says her gums are red and inflamed and to just keep up with the bonjella and panadol/ nuophen (sp) which seems to help with her pain and discomfort. Unfortunately her feeding times have become an absolute nightmare. She's at the age where she is difficult to feed just cause she is easily distracted but now she drinks just enough so she isn't starving (sometimes on 60ml) and then refuses the rest :wall:. This is happening for every bottle except her dream feed and the early morning feed.

I'm concerned that she isn't getting enough (nutrition and fluids) especially with these hot days. I've tried giving her water in a cup, but she wont take it. What can I do?

Can you give her the 60 ml every hour or 2? And experiment also with not heating the bottle - cool might be comfier on a sore mouth.

I know it's worrying. But if she needed more she most likely would be drinking more. If she is still doing plenty of wet nappies, I wouldn't worry. Of course if she's not, you will need to take her to a doctor. I also agree with varying the temperature, and just to keep persisting. GL.

Well I think I posted too soon. DD seems to be feeling a little better. No teeth yet (that I can see) but she seems to be back to her old eating habits :dance:. I was really starting to worry cause her nappys were starting to dry up, but now they are nice and wet again.

Thanks for the tip on the bottle tempreture, never even considered that :rolleyes:.
