3rd birthday at Maccas
i need some feedback on parties at mcdonalds restaurants :)
ill be about 6 weeks off being due to give birth, so the idea of a party out of the house sounds good to me!
the maccas near us has a fantastic playgroud(the old wooden type ones, not the newer plastic climbing maze type ones) its undercover, and safe for the little ones, as dd had been playing there since she was about 18 months old.
we have about 10 kids to invite, not sure how many will actually come, as 2 of those have birthdays right near dd's, so i will have to get in early with the invites
roughly how much does it cost? is it per head? do we supply the cake? has anyone had any bad experiences??
to me its seems easy enough, my brother had his 4th party there, but mum doesnt recall any of the details i need lol
i will ring or go into the maccas and discuss it with someone there, just looking for some feedback for now!
thanks ladies!!

DD works at Maccas and often does the parties. Its about $8 per head (when she gets home I'll ask her exactly) and you get a party room and a hostess who plays the games with the kids and does everything. You get 1 1/2 hours in the party room and an icecream cake as well from memory, also every child gets a treat bag and hat, the birthday child gets a better bag.
DD always says that 3 is the very minimum age to have one otherwise they are too young to play the games.
If you have any more questions feel free to ask and I'll get Jess in here to answer them
BTW they also give you invitations

thanks heaps :)
if i think of anymore questions ill be back to post!
$8 per head sounds cheap!

After what happened at my sons Macca's party when he was 2 I will never have another party at Macca's again. A friend and I had a joint party as their birthdays were the same week, they were same age and we had same circle of friends. So thought we'd kill 2 birds with 1 stone and do a joint to make it easier on everyone.
We ordered one of their icecream cakes, and they came out with the cake and also a cake already cut and on plates. When our two kids had spat all over the cake blowing out their candles, they took that cake away and left us with the pre-cut cake never to see the other cake again. It made us wonder if they used our cake for the next party as the "pre cut" cake.
We have since done HJ's parties, actually cheaper than Macca's and taken our own cake in with us.

I will ask Jess about that. I know the service depends on the individual Maccas, our Maccas is next door to head office Australia so we get good service usually LOL
