Hi
Has anyone used these bottles and how did you find them?
Thanks :)
Is my favourite brand. Both my boys found the tommee tippee teats, bottles and dummys easier to use then say Avent. The teats have rounded ends so they are easier to clean too :D
Absolutely loved them and found they went very well with breastfeeding. I will def be using them again this time around:)
Thanks doubletrouble and *Niadla*.
MASSIVE HUGE FAN HERE!!!!! Tommee Tippee are the only bottle DD would take and saved my sanity. Like Niadla said they go great with b/f.
Thanks Nurse Dan. Looks like I'll be adding them to the shopping list.
Do you know (or anyone else) if they are BPA free. Maybe a silly question but how important is it having BPA free bottles. Especially since they are now saying not to heat bottle in microwaves.
Cheers :D
hi there we use the TT closer to nature bottles and love them! they were the only teats that Tara would take, she didnt like Avent at all it wasnt good for her it gave her lots of wind/painful burps etc. I totally recommend the closer to nature teats/bottles. Unfortunately reading the other thread about BPA I have found out they are not BPA free :(
Can somebody tell me what thread y'all talking about? Dont get much real news here. I heat my night bottles in the microwave
BPA is a chemical found in some plastics. It is poisonous and can be released when the bottle is heated (milk heating, sterilising etc). You will find it in most hard, clear plastic baby bottles. I cant remember the plastic numbers that are bad - I think baby bottles are often a 7 - although most wont put it on their bottles. Bottles with a 5 are good (look inside the recycling symbol on the bottom on the bottle).
i love these bottles, and as the others have said worked well with a bf bub!
Are they available in shops like Baby Bunting?
I haven't tried looking for them yet, but I did notice that the chemists around me seem only to carry the Advent type of bottles.
Hi Tenar
I've seen them in Target.
The Tommee Tippee website states
Australia - The Tommee Tippee range is available through all major grocery, pharmacy, variety and independent baby stores nationally. Our range is also available from many online retailers who will deliver your Tommee Tippee products directly to your home.
Hope this is of some help
i have bought them in target, chemists and also coles... pretty widely avaiable i think
Do the bottles fit in the avent electric steriliser or do you need the one specifically made for the closer to nature bottles? I've noticed they are a lot wider at the neck.
Soooo many decisions!!!
Thanks Bel
I was told to use these when DD wouldnt take bottles after my milk supply disapeared. She did take them few times and liked them although we have issues with her pulling the teats out and wearing 200mls of milk.
hey bel, my friends bought me the avent electric sterilizer but i have the tomme tippee bottles and the necks are wider than the avent bottles so don't fit in the holes of the sterilizer. i'm hoping to be able to stand the bottles up somehow and still use it, not sure if this will work though.
i read on the web site that as of june 2009, there will be a selection of tommee tippee closer to nature range that will be BPA free.
Thanks for the replies girls..
Beau- I thought this would be the case...they just want to make more $$$$ off us!! Thanks for the info on the BPA free bottles coming
