What nappy bag do you have and why do you love it!?

I have never used a nappy bag, just an oversized handbag but I think Im going to have to invest in a proper one as I have to tote around nappies, sippys, blankies etc for THREE kids come April :redface:

So what nappy bag do you have and why do you love it? Does it fit everything you need? How do you lug it around, slung on the pram/carried/stored in the basket underneath?

well i use 3 bags as i have 3 dirty monkies in nappies.

My nappy and purse bag is a Columbia sports wear backpack. it is a propper nappy bag but looks like a cool back pack but it has straps i can hang it from the pram got it from toys r us. my 2nd is a kinda drawstring soft gym bag one of those ones that can be rolled up into a ball. in it i put clean clothing, bibs, spew rags, etc. i keep this one im the pram basket as i hardly need it but when i don't have them i will. the 3rd is a bottle bag / esky bag it holds a drink cup 4 DS1, 4-6 bottles depending on how long i'll be out and our lunch, it also goes under the pram. it sounds hard but it seems to work.

I used to use a kapoochi one and it was ok but too big and having everything in the same bag was a PITA and too heavy. and it would get in the way of my legs when it hung it from the pram.

i have a jooki talissa bag/set so roomy and it looks so great too!!

i'm using the ergo back pack at the mo as my nappy bag and loving it! haven't used it actuall yon my ergo yet as isla is too young to go on my back but will when she is. I either where it as a back pack or attack it to my pram as the straps that attach it to the ergo also work fo rattaching to prams. It has a great little section inside that you can get to easily by a zip on the side, as well as a quite spacious normal bit, plus a bottle holder on the side and two pockets for phone, wallet etc. Loving it!

I have a Vanchi Nappy Bag - and I LOVE It LOVE it LOVE it! It is a light green oriental print - it's quite gorgy - fits everything but looks special.

Having had 5 babies I have had a few nappy bags in my day but this is my favourite by far. It doesn't look Nappy Bagish - and I will be able to use it long after my needs for a nappy bag are over.

I use a crumpler for the fact that it doesn't LOOK like a nappy bag.... I intend to still be using it long after the nappy bag is required.

They are incredibly well made - I have other designs that I used when I was cycling every day and they are indestructible. They go into the wasing machine, all the clips have a lifetime guarantee and they come in almost any color combo you can imagine - even custom but I'm sure that costs extra.

We use this bag for travelling, hospital, everything.

They are not cheap, but I am a firm believer that spending more money is fine if the quality is much better and will make the product cheaper in the end (besides some nappy bags are ridiculously priced).

I looked everywhere for a reasonably-priced, attractive nappy bag before DD was born, and couldn't find anything that suited me. I ended up just going to the local surf clothing store and got a big 'Emily Strange' bag (which I thought was awesome because we'd already picked 'Emily' as the name for our bub) that had no pockets, storage compartments or anything, but it works just fine because I hardly ever use it, and when I do it's only for short trips where you just need a couple of nappies, wipes, powder, and a bottle - so I can just throw everything in there and it doesn't matter if I have to scrabble in it for whatever I'm after.
My mum ended up buying me one of those huge nappy bags with all the bits and bobs in it, but the only time it's ever been used was when I went to hospital and forgot a bunch of stuff, mum packed it up for me and brought it in... but it's never had Emily's gear in it, so it was a bit of a waste of money!!

I'm pretty lax when it comes to carting everything everywhere, I plan my trips around feeds and nappy changes so I don't need to bring a bunch of junk with me, pretty much the only time I ever use her Emily Strange bag is when we're going over to someone's house for dinner and I actually need to bring things for her. 99% of the time we go out all I have with me is my handbag and I carry a dummy and a couple of teething rusks in that in case she needs something to amuse herself with.

I lashed out and brought an OiOi hobo in the blue for when pg with Alister and it was money well spent. It's quite large and fitted everything I needed in it, even though I didn't need a lot for the older ones, it still fit drink bottles and a jacket or two in it. I don't use it as much now (I have a small backpack by Tiger tribe I use mostly) but I use it when I know I need to take a lot of stuff with me. I used to just put in in the carrier underneath, but if I had to, I would sling it over the handles too.
