I have and always check it tempreture wise and its fine, my daughter has a bath at the same time. He does not have nappy rash and I cant see any redness on his penis? I cant figure out whats wrong! He is teething but other tan that i hae no idea??? Anyone have any ideas??

Hi Sheba
You mentioned he was teething. I'm wondering if the warm bath is making him do a wee and his wee might be a bit acidic and stinging him a bit? As you probably know, teething generates a bit of acid and some babies find this a little stingy when passing urine. I know my DS does. Does he scream any other time during the day i.e. when he might be weeing in his nappy? Try getting him to drink more water to dilute his wee a bit. Just a thought.

Thanks Deltadawn. I can pin point any oter time tha he screams like this. Its all smiles and gigge before getting into the bath, which was always normal... I am at a loss to work ut what it is. I will keep and eye on him. He just claws his way out of the bath and its just not normal for him.

Maybe you can hop in the bath with him. It will keep to his routine but break it up a little as well.
I'm not sure why he would suddenly change his mind about his bath though. Did he have a scare while in the bath (a loud noise etc)?

Oskar went through this recently also. Just one day it was like a switch had been flicked and all of a sudden he didn't like bath time with daddy anymore. It had to be mummy.... then I started putting the shower on and that worked so I could transition him to bath on his own. I bought a new bath toy (Elmo wind up one only about $6) and that has made it better. Along with a few new jugs out of the plastics cupboard and usually bath time is happy again now. I think they just go through different stages as they grow but can't verbalise it to us so we are left scratching our heads. Hope it gets better for you.
