Hi Ladies,
What do you think of this name for a girl?
Chanel or Chanelle?
I like Chanel!
Chanelle i quiet like it. a friend was going to call their baby that if they had a girl (but they had a boy) my husband disliked it so would be a no go for us
I really like it!!! Chanel though :)
I taught a Chanel and I used to always add "no.5" - she didn't liek this so I stopped but that's all I could think of when writing her name!
i love that name Chanel
Chanel is my 22year old friends middle name & she has always loved it ;)
... And i had a friend years ago who's cousin was a Chanelle (she was a beautiful model ... prob about 30yrs old now) !!
I have a Coco so she gets Coco Chanel, but that doesn't worry me in the slightest!! We had a Chanel in our mothers group., very cute. xo
I like it and would spell Chanel.
I went to school with a Chanel, but that was 20 years ago and I havent heard of another one.
My name's Chanel :)
I've always liked it! I've only ever met 2 others, all spelt differently! I prefer the spelling 'Chanel' but for some reason strangers generally spell it Chanelle!
I agree with Jordie one teacher at high school called me no. 5 all the time but it didn't bother me I used to just laugh at him glad it gave him some enjoyment :P
I worked with a Chenelle and a Chanelle. Both women are strong in personality. Its not my taste of name but if you love it go for it. I would prefer the spelling Chanel
i love the name Chanel!
its pretty- i knew a family with 3 kids,
chanel
dior and......
aramis!!
seriusly true girlies
i love it. i know of a little girl called Chanel, she is called nelly for short and it suits her to a T!
i would be more inclined to spell it Chanelle, but then that makes me think of Charlene or sharlene.. however its spelled.
i think Chanel is the way to go!
Chanelle/Chanel is a gorgeous name - my best friend has chose that name if she has a girl (with my encouragement!).
I find that Chanelle is somewhat more feminine- but the extra 'le' is more for decoration - you don't need it and it will be pronounced just the same as Chanel.
Chanel will make it easier for the child to spell when they are young- and they could always spell it Chanelle if they preferred to when they are older anyway- or visa versa!!
Go for it- its classy and pretty.
That's a beautiful name and not too common. I think you should definately spell it Chanel.:D
