? little red bite marks
I have yet another question - Bianca keeps comming out in what looks like mosquito bite marks or bite marks from something on her face, head, and arms!
Have no idea what it could be - dosent seem to bother her - but they come and go - they were there this morning when i fed her at 0500am - but seem to have faded again.
This has been happening for a few days now! i went into see the ppl at work yesterday and her body was clear from them - but after a little while she had a few on her face?!!?
Does anyone have any idea what it could be?

Sorry HJ  no idea but just wanted to give you and B a hug and hope all is okay. Could it be a reaction to the formula she's on? :dunno: sweat pimples/rash?
-
nah she has been on the formula for ages now and this has only just started to occur - its not like a rash - kinda like little welts - but they come and go - were there this morning and than gone! its a mystery to me

It could the milk pimples bubs get, its just caused by hormonal changes babies go through and usually develop around 4-8weeks and can last for a few weeks...? Jazzy's faded and then got red again and lasted about 3 weeks. They call them milk pimples, even though they have nothing to do with milk LOL.
-
Leasha - im pretty sure she has had them and this is something different - they are bigger with a white spot in the middle and all red around!
-
thats what jazzy's looked like ? :dunno: maybe go ask the dr? have you used any different soap, washing powder, had her laying anywhere different...?

This might be a little far fetched BUT
When I was in highschool I got this weird skin condition that started off as teeny tiny little red dots but when they got itchy and I scratched they suddenly turned huge and white on the middle and red ring outisde...looked like ringworm but wasn't. And there were heaps.
They occured on my hands, arms, legs, neck and feet but not on my main body.
My doctor at the time was puzzled and looked through all her books to find out what it was.
As it turned out it was a strange type of hives that usually only occurs in babies and toddlers.
I was given medication for the itch and it cleared itself in a couple of weeks...I have scars on my hands and feet from it but that's probably becuase I was older when I got it.
could it be that?
Or...heatrash, sandfly bites, fleas off any pets you might have???

Dosent look like ringworm - but does kinda look like sandfly bites - i havnt changed washing powder or anything - mite have to get it checked out - she dosent scratch at them so its not itchy - could it maybe be reaction to her needles?
they seem to come out more when she is upset - she had her perfect skin and couldnt see a thing all day except this morning and now she is crying they have come out again
ahhhh baby's!!!! do they ever stop worrying us?

My youngest Luke has been getting bad reactions to bites (mozzies etc) lately. My other 2 never suffered like he does.. so I have found it quite worrying lately when he wakes in the morning with literally dozens of spots, or at any time of day if he's been bitten.. they must bite him up to 20-30 times! I took him to docs on my way home the other day to be sure as they came up massive and red, almost like warts they were so raised.. by the time I got to the docs they looked alot better.. doc said to me not to worry as it's just mozzies or midgie bites,, but if they have a white center and red around them then that's something to be looking into (sorry can't remember specifically what he said!)
But I'd say if they are popping up then disappearing then popping up again.. it wouldn't be anything that serious? I'd say it could be mozzie bites, or a reaction to her needles? But definately best to get the doctor to give you the all clear. Sometimes heat/body temp can make things flare up.. so when she is distressed/crying and her body temp is raised it can make them appear worse, then subside within half hour or so.
Let me know how you go. Thinking of you and little Bianca :)

Hi hj
Our paed. said babies get this funny rash thing that looks like little bites. I can't remember the fancy name for it though. But it does look exactly like small red bites. I think he said they don't know exactly why they get it but it's probably a hormonal thing.
Maybe it could be that?

Mel - it definatly is red with a white spot in the middle - everymorning lately she has been waking up with them but in a hr or so they dissapear and u cant even tell that they were there? it is really weird! hope its nothing bad - will see the nurse in chemist on monday!
Lee - thankyou - typical for it to be a hormonal thing if it is -she is female after all! hahaha
