I was wondering if it is ok to use a heat pack/hot bottle for lower back/butt/hip ache while pg? I have had the ache on and off for 3 weeks but today just can't find a position to get comfy! Any advice gratefully received!

I did! Heat packs were awesome! I used them all the way thru, but I wasn't in a lot of pain all the time. The night my waters broke I was using one. I know you can't use deep heat/tiger balm etc. You also are not supposed to use a spa or sauna - it's a no-no!
Perfectly safe. I used a hot water bottle but only needed to on the day I went into labour.
I've been told by an acupuncturist at they're ok. Just do 15 mins on and 15 mins off. And I always make sure it's just warm, not hot.
I use one most days.
It should be warm, not hot, but thats the same regardless off whether you are pg or not.
Be careful of ones that have essentilal oils added though, just check whats in it.
I am addicted to a heatpack... was worried about it initially, but my OB said it was fine and i used it pretty much everyday (more as a comfort thing than for pain some days lol)
as the others have said not too hot, but i often had mine on my belly in early stages and on my hips in the later stages
