what would YOU get done...?

ok, so i didn't really know where to put this, so here it is. why is it that women, pregnant, post natal or otherwise have such low self esteem?? why do we measure our worth by what we see in the mirror??

i put it to you that you answer honestly,IF YOU COULD GET ANY PLASTIC SURGERY DONE - WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY??? i bet not one of us says that they wouldn't change anything about themselves...

me? I'd get lipo and a tummy tuck, 2 c-sections and i look like the old school statues for fertility... noice.:redface:

I would love to get rid of my stretch marks! They're everywhere!!! :redface:

i woul get my boobs lifted lol.. breastfeeding has not been kind to them

I am so sick of not even being able to buy a maternity bra in a D+ bra shop!! Who the hell doesnt make a G cup maternity bra anyway?? Whay the hell do they think happens to us girls with DDs PRE birth when we BF????

And all of this is of course assuming I could bring myself to do it. After seeing plastic surgery operations I really cant say I would submit to that, no matter how much I want better boobs or Angelina Jolie's lips! .

Well to be honest with you I loved my body much more while pg then before :D

I totally thrived during pg on top of the world, while be totally ROUND :lol::lol:
I have always been judged for my weight, but not because Im large yet the total opposite, Im thin :rolleyes: I now go through life trying to love me ;) No matter what others think.

All this 'loving myself' only started to happen about 4months ago before then I would have said plastic surgery for my stretch marks.
I heard a lady once say "I have earnt these strips and I wear them proud!" :lol:
I wouldn't say Im proud of them but I dont hate them anymore :)

I'd get some lipo on my stomach, thighs and the bits of fat that are on the flanks of my back. Stretch marks don't bother me so much anymore, I just want a smaller stomach. I can actually grab it with both hands and lift it up and down, IMO its disgusting. I don't mind not having a flat stomach, I just want it to be normal round not leftover baby gut, where its skin and fat.

I've already had one breast reduction in 2003, $3000 later he left me with a very full D cup when I paid for a C!!!! but thats another whole story...

I would get another breast reduction (to a B to be on the safe side!) & a nose job (hate my nose..... I got my dutch dads nose!)

I will eventually get another breast reduction, thinking of seeing a lawyer to see if the previous plastic surgeon can be forced to fix his stuff up.... they admitted negligence to me about 4 or 5 months after the operation but could "only" fix it the weekend I was booked to be on Hamilton Island for my BIL's wedding (already totally paid for etc at that point in time anyway)

Dh has promised me a boob lift if I feed the next baby to the 12 month mark too :lol:

Seriously though, not much. I'm pretty happy with myself, although i wouldn't mind being more toned. Do you think they can implant a good dose of motivation??

Me too! In fact I AM getting it done after b/f this next baby...it is something I have been looking forward to for a long long time...that and I cannot wait for the new lingerie and clothes to go with the new breasts!:dance:

I think if given the option I would also have a tummy tuck, like so may mums after having babies its just not where it should be.:rolleyes:

Tummy tuck and lipo on hips, butt and thighs, maybe my nanna arms too....pretty happy with the rest of me, though I don't know what my boobs are going to look like after I've finished bf, I've been doing it for 11mths non stop so far, so we'll have to wait and see....

I'd get nothing done. Really. Not that I'm perfect, far from it. But I can live with me the way I am physically. I have had two babies, so what if my boobs are bit saggy - it's normal!

A friend of our is shortly having massive, massive cosmetic surgery - boobs, tummy, the works - 8 months of recovery! No way.

What a shame we don't as a society revere the body of women who have borne and nourished children.

thanks trillian for putting this in the right place, i've thought of something else i'd get done, this may be tmi, but in my opinion, my pubic bone / mound (?) is a bit pronounced, it feels quite fatty and always has, even when i was skinny, so i'd get that fixed too!!

ahh dreams, yes, i wish that we could all just love our bodies, but i doubt this will ever happen, so i shall live with the fantasy me of my dreams... lol

I don't know if such a thing exists but I would get my hip bones reduced. They are wider since having DD. I'd also get rid of the stretchmarks on my boobs, they're the only place I have them thankfully. Apart from that I much prefer my body now than before I was pregnant.

A tummy tuck and some lipo on my hips and bum.. and if I was feeling the need to I would get my breasts lifted slightly and taken down a cup size..
