Travelling with baby info- am I blind or delusional?

I swear I have seen a thread or sticky or something on here about travelling with bubs, but I CANNOT find it! Can anyone help?

We are travelling to the States in June when Peter is about one. Are we crazy to fly that long with him?!!!

If you google that phrase, you'll get lots of different sites with information and little tips etc.

Well, after travelling from Perth to Adelaide with a one year old between the two of us, I would say that yes you are crazy! But a trip sounds great!

I don't think you're crazy at all! In this day and age traveling is a reality of life... My sister lives in NY and has two little girls (now 2 and 4). Since her first was born she has made trips back and forth every six months or so...

It definately isn't easy, but it's only 15 hours of your life and if you're well prepared it can just be a long nights sleep for Peter. Start putting away a collection of new books/games/toys/activities etc for the trip now. That way when you're on the plane you'll have stuff which is new and provides a good distraction when Peter gets a bit antsy. Also, a porable dvd player is a good investment. As long as you have stuff to entertain him with for the time that he's not sleeping you should be fine...

We have won a trip to London in June and our bub will only be 5mths old..... :rofl: on a 24hour flight!!! :o

Nah, lol we drove to Queensland, a 3 day drive with our then 9 yr old, 4 yr old and 3 month old bub.
Although its a bit different in a plane

It may be crazy but on the otherhand, if oyu do it now then the rest of your trips will be a breeze!

Actually, I think a baby is easier to travel with than a toddler. At least a baby has a better chance of sleeping in your arms. Toddlers are not good at sitting still.
