Its just not fair....
Some of you know that I've recently (somehow) managed to regulate my periods, so we had our first TWW this month. I don't know if I'm just crazy, but I know I conceived on 1/1/09 - I can't explain it, I just felt 'different', and I have no doubts at all as to why.
Today would be the 10th day of TWW, and I woke up to bad cramps and bright red blood. I went to work anyway, I just didn't want to stay home and think about it.
My question is, because it was too early to test, is this a miscarriage or a chemical pregnancy? I don't want to upset anyone here by saying I've had a m/c if its not one, but I also want to acknowledge what I've lost.
*Thank you to everyone who replies, and please let me know if I've offended anyone*

Aw hun Im so very sorry has happend :( I doubt very highly that you have offened anybody;)
Im not sure myself what this would be. Maybe an early loss??? Im really not sure though.
Did you see you doctor when you got your bfp?

Sorry you are going through this right now . It's so hard to know for sure, but you should trust your instincts. Did AF arrive earlier than you expected? When I had my first m/c AF arrived 4 days early (I didn't know I was pg) and I had terrible cramps, I was still pg though and ended up with a suspected ectopic. My second m/c was a chemical pregnancy, I got a BFP on the day AF was due, but 2 days later AF arrived.
Sorry I'm probably not much help! Maybe you could go to your GP for a blood test to see if you have any hCG in your system?

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. A woman's intuition is very strong so I trust what you are saying. I guess it is technically classed as a chemical pregnancy but in my opinion you have every right to grieve for the baby that could have been. Sending you a big hug.

A chemical pregnancy is a pregnancy that has been detected (thus chemical) but fails to develop. These pregnancy's generally are very early (prior to 6 weeks) losses.
So, it may or may not have been a pregnancy but as the other women have said you go with how you feel.
Big hugs...

Mammakass - I haven't done a HPT, as its most likely too early, being less than 2 weeks from conception.
Trish - Yeah, I tried to get in to the doctor, but I can't for another week, by which time I assume it'll be too late to pick anything up. I know there's nothing that can be done, so I don't wanna waste someone's valuable time by going to the ER just for a blood test.
Flowerchild - Thanks for the explanation :) My DH had a lil trouble understanding why I'm upset as I don't 'technically' know if I was pregnant, but I think he's starting to get it. None of the women in my family bother with HPT's - they all know when they're pregnant right from the start! Don't ask me how, as I said, I can't even explain it for myself, we're obviously just weird :)
Thank you all so much for your replies - it means so much to know how many people care :grouphug:

go for a blood test not a complete waste of time
I did a home test early in Jan 09 BFP then started bleeding 2 days later...... no need for the full story but a month later of blood tests etc I had a ectopic.
If you are not feeling right get it sorted out early.
