How do you keep a Wriggly Baby/Toddler covered at night????

Hi Everyone

My almost 12 month old daughter wriggles around so much at night when she sleeps that it is very hard to keep her covered. I have taken the sheet out at the moment as it is not doing anything.

Would love some suggestions as to how you all keep you child covered up at night.

I have the same problem, i've given up putting a blanket or sheet on her as it just ends up in a pile, out of the cot (as she's learnt to put things over the side) or she uses it as a pillow.

It's too warm for a sleeping bag so i just make sure she has warm pj's & socks on and she is warm enough as our nights are warm.

Be interested to see what responses you get.

TBH I don't think there is a real answer to that!!...I would say the same as Joanne, just dress them warm or have them in a sleeping bag suit.
My DD (20 months) is only just starting now to sleep under some light wraps that I just lay on top of her, but still most of the time she is wriggly too and just sleeps uncovered.

i can't praise sleeping bags enough, but ds has air con in his room so the heat thing isn't an issue. What about 0.5 tog sleeping bag with just a singlet and nappy on?

Summer or winter Izzy is in a bag and has been since she was 8 weeks old..... we have lovely light cotton ones for summer and 2.5 TOG for cold nights. Love 'em. The only time we skip them is on freakishly hot 30 degree nights and she will just be in a nappy and singlet.

I use a lightweight, sleeveless sleeping bag for DS2, it works great!

Yep, as many of the ladies have said - sleeping bags are the way to go!
A lot of places sell both winter and summer bags - and you can obviously alter the degree of warmth by what you dress bubs in under the bag.

My MIL loves making stuff for our DS - so she's made us two so far as he grew out of the first :)

Some people use sleeping bags, I just dress my kids warm enough. :)

I bought mine from Baby Bunting for $25 :)

I use a .5 tog grobag sleeping bag, we have the fan on at night too.

I gave up trying to keep Toby covered...it just doesn't happen! So i make sure his pj's will be enough to keep him warm. Makes it difficult sometimes, especially at the moment when the temp can go from being 30 degrees when he goes to bed and drops to about 15 degrees at night! He's a pretty hot sleeper though so, so far no probs!
