Cloth wipe questions... dry or wet? Water or something else? Do you rinse, soak...?

I got my wipes WOOOOOOO I am stoked!

Just a question for those who use them...

Do you use them dry or wet?

If you use them wet what do you use? I've read water, chamomile tea, lavender oil + water, and some solution stuff you can apparently buy...?

Do you rinse them out and dry pail them or soak them? We soak our nappies... correction, SHEL soaks our nappies (I dry pail, but as soon as she she's its dry she fills it with water and goes on about how I surely have enough time in my day to fill a bucket up blah blah blah). Oh, our nappies are just terry/flanel fitteds so no soaking isn't gonna ruin them lol before you all hyperventilate about soaking!

SO for us would I just chuck them in with the nappies? Or should I NOT soak them?

I use a foamy wipes solution I got from Bubblebubs. But when it runs out I am just gonna try water & some baby wash in the foamy pump bottle thing.
I love use cloth wipes. Took me ages to get around to using them.
I only use disposable wipes when out. Simply because I can't figure out the best way to take cloth wipes with out ending up with a wet bag.

I just use plain water. After each use, I rinse them out and hang them in the clothes line which I have on the wall in the laundry to air out.

I use water and just chuck them in the nappy bucket :)

FJ I use a small ziplock bag which I refil every night with wet washers and wipes. Or you could use a huggies container, that's what I have on my change table. If you wet them they take up less room and are ready no matter where you are :)Haven't had a wet bag yet hun :D

Ok, so for those who use water/foam etc. Do you just wet them when they're needed (tap, spray bottle...?), or do you store them in water etc?

I know some people keep them wet but I just wet mine straight from the tap as I need them. I usually wet two of them on my way to changing the nappy, if I need more I just use the foamy wipe solution I keep with them for just in case. When I go out I take dry wipes in a zip lock bag and a 50ml bottle of foamy wipe, that way I don't need to worry about taking wet wipes around (or forgetting them and ending up with stinky, mouldy wipes in my nappy bag), and of course the used ones just get rolled up with the nappy and put in the wet bag.

I just use water, and wet them at the tap on my way to changing him (the bathroom is about a meter away so it's not a great hike). I keep a bottle of water next to the change table JIC though. I used to use a mild chamomile infusion (which is great for nappy rash and smells brilliant), and kept it in a small sports bottle next to the change table, but the ants decided that they liked it too so I went back to water. I suppose I could have kept it in the fridge, but that just seemed too complicated LOL.

Once used the cloths go straight into the nappy bucket, pooey ones get a rinse first. I have a packet of biodegradable disposable wipes in the nappy bag for emergencies, but I also keep a handful of dry cloth wipes and a bottle of water and just wet them as I need them. I think I've used maybe five of the disposable wipes in total, and the packet has been in the bag for months.

I keep a pump water bottle on the change table and I squirt a bit of water onto the wipe and a squirt of bubblebubs foamy wash on his bot. I then chuck the wipe in with the rest of the nappies in a flip lid bin I have in the laundry. As he only poo's once a day I often reuse one wipe twice as I use half for one wee and then the other half later! :) I use sposie wipes when I go out for now.
