DD in 5 months old now. BTW..i've already made a drs appoint but thought i'd ask here too...
I started on the mini pill at the beginning of Decemeber. I got a period on Christmas eve (the first since DD being born) that lasted a wk and a half. Then nothing for a wk then another wk or bleeding then nothing and now i'm bleeding again!!!!!!!!
It is soooooooo painful :(
anyone had any similar experiences and/or have any suggestions to whats going on????
Well i am not too sure but after i had ds2 i kept bleeding like that as well but i was not on the mini pill. So i went to the dr he had no answers no i told him just to put me on the pill as a result i could not bf anymore but i stopped bleeding which was such a relief. Definitly ask your dr good luck

I have had a similiar experience. I'm on the mini pill and got AF back around two weeks after starting it. That was about the 18th of dec. Had it for a couple of days then it went away then after xmas just had some spotting. My mum suggested maybe it's not strong enough. Now i'm not sure if you class 1-2 days of light spotting as a period cause if not i'm late but have never been regular so not sure. I have decided to go off it as it has been really stuffing with my moods and I always put on weight on the pill and my body just feels all out of wack. I know that my sister bleed the whole time after she had the 3mth injection so maybe it's just a reaction some people have.

Hi jennjorja, sorry for only just posting now, I just saw this thread as I was about to post the exact same thing. My DS is the big 1 on friday (yay)so I've been taking the mini pill for a while now, I started taking microlut when DS was 6 weeks (was prescribed to me at my 6 week checkup) I was exclusivly BF so I wasn't concerned when AF didn't come. When DS started solids I thought they might return but I didn't get AF until he was 10 months (I'm still BF) Then when they returned it was pretty much a non event and over and done with in a couple of days. 2 weeks later I got AF again only this time it was the real deal and I have been having AF every 2 weeks now for about 6 weeks. I too went to my GP and after a preg test came back neg and pap test was all fine she put it down to the pill and something I shouldn't be concerned about. but if it continued and was annoying for me then to come back and discuss other contraceptive methods. Before I fell pregnant I was taking microgynon and it worked a treat even when TTC my AF came like clockwork. Am hoping that when I stop BF (have started to wean to cows milk) that I can go back to my normal pill and things will sort themselves out. Just wondering how you are going and what your GP said. Sorry for such a long reply!!:D
Saw the dr last week and she suggested i try some ponstan or nurofen as anti inflammatories also can help to stop bleeding.
I'm starting to wean DD to bottle so I can stop bf and go back on Dianne as I know that AF is regular when on it.
She was going to send me for an ultrasound if bleeding hadnt stopped or at least looked like stopping by today. And possibly a curette....
I'm right down to a very light spotting now... so fingers crossed. U/s is booked for friday if still bleeding....
