What do you think?
I had a m/c in October and then got my period on Dec 19th - it lasted for about 6 days. I haven't go it again since but a test I did today was DEF negative. I've never had major long cycles before and always been quite regular. This one is at least 33 days. So is this hormones being annoying and I will get it soon or could I be pregnant? Has this happened to anyone?

Hi Jordie
AF after a m/c can be very hit and miss unfortunately. It takes a while for your body to get back into the swing of things. I hope AF shows up for you soon so you can continue your ttc journey!

Hi Jordie (that is a cool name by the way- Jordie- very sweet).
Sorry to read about your miscarriage. Given you have tested neg this cycle, it is most likely the m/c which is causing the longer cycle. Any presence of pregnancy hormones will extend the cycle. The longer you carry for, the longer you may have to wait for AF (until hormone balance returns).
Once you get AF (and are certain there is no BFP) I suggest you and your DP/DH do a detox together before you ovulate next. This will significantly enhance your fertility (and sperm health) and reduce the risk of miscarriage. Sometimes our bodies reject pregnancy because of the presence of toxins in the body. It is a natural protection mechanism. When toxicity is decreased, we increase our chances of a successful conception - as well as significantly reduce the severity of nausea!!
I'm not saying you are really unhealthy or anything by the way!! But we all consume toxins in the food we eat (ie- additives, pesticides on veggies), the products we apply to our bodies, the water we drink, the air we breathe, etc. It is a normal part of living in this chemical world, so we can all do with a spring clean every now and again!!
I also highly suggest the book by Australia's most esteemed Natural Fertility Expert, Francesca Naish- The Natural Way to Better Babies- Preconceptual Healthcare for Prospective Parents - its a brilliant read and has helped me significantly.
Best of luck to you......

Thanks girls - is the m/c still the cause for a longer cycle when I have already had on AF since the m/c? That seems weird to me but I guess the body is a weird thing! Well still no sign yet so keep on waiting.

Still no AF - off to buy another test today but I have NO symptoms. Probably just stupid hormones!

Hi Jordie
I'm no expert but I think m/c can cause havoc with your cycles for a few months, not just the first one. I'm having the same problem at the moment with wacky cycles cause by b/f so I know how you feel in that respect. Also with my m/c I seem to recall the first 3 or so AF's after were a bit different and varied in length.
I really hope you get your bfp soon!
Good luck!
