I just saw the thread about early preg symptoms, but how early is early? I felt like @$%! with DD but the Ob told me that it was too early for it to be related to preg. Turns out my "symptoms" went away and new ones came in a few weeks later - and were far worse than my initial sickness!

I would have had symptoms from implantation - I am serious that's when all my 'viral' symptoms started. I had been complaining for weeks about my sudden cup size gain and my constant feeling of nausea before I found out.
I think it depends on the person.
I know for myself that symptoms will set in at pretty much three weeks. After 5 embryo transfers and 4 pregnancies, it's pretty obvious when things start changing. Things start changing for me somewhere between 3 and 5 days after embryo transfer, which would equate to 7-10 days after ovulation in someone not using assisted conception. The cycle that gave as Samuel I was experiencing fairly extreme nausea well before any pregnancy test would work.
Some would say that it's the drugs used as part of IVF that do it - but most of my transfers had no luteal phase support, and it was pretty obvious that there were no symptoms at all on the one that didn't take. I know my body reacts as soon as implantation even starts to occur.

Well I agree that it is definitely different for everyone. Me for example with Noah I was throwing up from the time af was due and I had very sore boobs and was real tired even before then. This time same thing happened from about a week past ovulation boobs were saw, never told dh about that but one day he said how tired I had been and that he thought I was utd without a doubt because the symptom was so obvious (at about a week past ovulation) I hadn't been whinging about being tired and dh isn't the type to say that and get my hopes up unless he really thinks it...oh by the way he was right!
On the other hand other women are what I consider very lucky and their preg symptoms include a growing tummy, eventual labour and a baby in their arms at the end of it all!
So all in all I think no symptoms don't been no pregnancy and on the other hand it is very easy to feel symptoms when we want to be preg (I will admit to it but ssshhh!)
it is not only different for every person - but also every pregnancy.
with my first, I had no symptoms until near 12 weeks when I go slight nausea.
with my second, we weren't TTC and I only took a HPT because I 'felt' pg, I was 5 weeks along (I was extremely surprised when the HPT was pos).
This time I swear I started to notice signs before I could even take an accurate test. the m/s kicked in a couple of days after my pos HPT (after numerous negs), and steadily got worse.
I felt what I though was strong AF pains around 3 weeks and was getting sh****tty that she wasn't making an appearance despite all the lead-up. The fatigue started at 4 weeks (this was when I finally went to the GP to see what was up) and was really bad around 7-8 weeks but started easing at 10 - I'm almost back to normal on the energy front now :)
But apart from that and tender BB I've had no m/s (thank goodness!) so of course I kept stressing that there actually was still a baby growing inside me til I had the scan yesterday - isn't it funny how we stress over every twinge and ache then stress when they're not there either? :rolleyes:
The fatigue kicked in between week 4 and 5 and my BB's were a little tender - nothing major but noticable. My MS (all day and night to be precise!) kicked in about half way through week 6. I haven't vomited but feel off most of the time, even when I get up for my middle-of-the-night loo trips. I've been feeling VERY pregnant since the nausea started - like I've been hit by a bus! I secretly love it though :D
from implantation - was doubled over in pain when embie implanted and within 24 hours was feeling fatigued and nauseous - 23 weeks into the pg, still feeling it!
The earliest symptom I had (that I recognised) was extremely sensitive breast tissue. Water touching them even hurt and that was before I got positive HPT. I didnt get morning sickness until 6-7weeks. I guess its different for everyone and yo know your body better than that doctor
I remember sitting on the couch crying because I felt like AF was coming, and TTC was taking far far too long. I had no symptoms other than usual pre-AF symptoms. Turns out I was pg! The pre-AF feelings went away at 5 weeks and I didn't get any other symptoms until about 8 weeks. I guess we all are different!
