BFN at 10 dpo! Does this mean I am out this month?

Hi girls,

I am feeling a bit down this morning. My Dh and I are TTC #2, following a miscarriage in August 2008. Anyway, I couldn't help myself and this morning I did a pregnancy test at 10dpo (sensitve one you can do before period due). It was BFN and I am sooooo disappointed! Does this mean I am not pregnant or do I still have a chance?

I have been experiencing fatigue and sore boobs (especially my nipples) Sorry TMI! I hope these symtoms haven't just been in my head.....

I got a BFN at 12 DPO with a sensitive test when pg with DS2, I didn't test again for another 4 days and got a strong BFP. So I think it's too early just yet. I know they say you can test early, but if you rang the HPT company, they would "recommend" that you wait until AF is due!

Maybe wait another couple of days and test again. Best of luck :D

I agree with Trish. Wait a couple of days and try again. I have seen people get a BFP at 10dpo, but I know of a lot who got them later too. And even those who get a BFN on a pee stick, then a positive BT the same day...

I got a BFN at 12dpo and got a BFP at 14dpo with my second DD's pg.

No, doesn't mean anything. You should wait until AF is due to test, even with the sensitive tests :)

Probably just testing too early. I think it takes a few days from implantation for the HCG to get high enough to be detected on even the most sensitive HPTs. To get a + HPT at 10DPO you would need to have implanted early - probably before 7DPO. Wait til your AF is due then test again.

I got a BFN up to 17 DPO and then got a BFP finally the next day. I also had the ones that said they picked up 5 days prior to AF but I had no luck with them. Try to be patient - it is really hard i know, and test again when AF is due. Good luck

I got a BFP with DD at 10DPO but the line was so feint, I could hardly see it! I was wondering whether my eyes were playing tricks on me.

I would test in a few days, maybe when AF doesn't show up?

i got BFN at 16 dpo and then finally got a BFP at 18 dpo, but very faint..and it was a sensitive test. Don't give up hope yet, wait a few more days and test again...if you have signs of pregnancy and after 2 weeks po and still no BFP then go and see your dr for a blood test..don't give up.

Thank you all so much for your lovely replies. Just wanted to tell you all that I did 2 HPT's this morning and I got a BFP!!!! I am at 12dpo and the lines were pretty faint but I am prety sure I am pregnant.

I am praying hard that this baby will stick!
