WDYT of Lucette ?
Hello all,
I was at a Wedding on Saturday and met a lovely lady whom has a friend who's baby daughter's name is LUCETTE ... she said it is the long version of LUCY ... anyway, i checked out it's meaning which it means Light :D
I thought it sounded very pretty and so easy to pronounce from it's spelling
Thought i'd share this French name with you all !!
... What do you all think of this name Lucette ?? ;)
Cheers from Lorelle & lil Cendrine xox

I think it's sweet! Actually it would go quite nicely with Cendrine as a sibling name.
-
I used to have a BF whose daughter had an imaginary friend called Lucette!
I like it (of course!)
-
My pre-coffee preggo brain read it as Lettuce  which I don't like as much as Lucette.
-
lol Nai, I'm glad I'm not the only one who read lettuce for a second there...I personally am not a big fan...just my opinion though
-
Is it pronounced Loose-ette or loosh-ette?
-
Im sorry but to ne hoest dont like it at all
-
I think its a very pretty girls name and goes so well with Cendrine!
-
I think it's really pretty!!
I also like Lucia.
-
I have a good friend names Lucette (Loose-ette) and she don't get anything to shorten it, it's just Lucette :)
-
I knew someone called Lucette, I like the name.
I have looked at long versions of Lucy cos its on our shortlist for girls names, and I think I prefer
Lucienne or Lucinda.
-
I think it is very pretty and it definitely works well with Cendrine :)
-
I agree with other posts- Cendrine and Lucette sound so good together- like they could be two little characters in a book!
-
hi Lorelle!
I think Lucette is a beautiful name
-
OMG Nai ... that's so funny ' Lettuce' i never thought of that until i took another look & gee i do see that ;) ... But i do think it still sounds pretty (maybe now doesn't look so pretty, LOL)
Thought i'd throw it out there incase someone might like to use it ;)
Oh, Lucienne ... never heard of it until now ...that i do like too (Thanks rayray)
I worked with a Lucinda many years ago she was so gorgeous & incredibly bubbly ... :D
Interesting how a couple of you mentioned Cendrine & Lucette like storybook names as my daughter's actual name comes from Cendrillion which means Cinderella (yeh, i know i'm not a big fan of the meaning ... Dare i admit Cendrine has a Cinderella corner in her sweet bedroom ... which has NO prince in sight ... i have been asked WHY no prince which i quickly answer " Well, she doesn't need a man to buy her a castle ... she may well buy one herself if she really would like one some day ") ;)

Hi,
Sorry, don't like it but that's my opinion. The kid would cop a lot in high school being called Loose-et. I'm very paranoid about how names may be picked on at school since i was picked on with my very ethnic name.
