Please help....evil child. Biting, headbutting...OW!

Is it a full moon, or a new moon or something?
Seriously! I'm getting really frustrated!
DS has just turned evil! He's been acting up majorly all night!
Biting then this evil growl laugh of his when I firmly say no & biting again! He's been doing it for 2 days now!
Then there's the headbutting. Sitting there & thumping my chest with his head & doing his evil laugh at the sound it makes!
He won't be put down & won't sleep! Everytime I get him to sleep he starts screaming when I put him down.
He's sitting there ATM shoving his finger as far as he can in the hole in a spoon handle & laughing devilishly at it!!

WHATS THE GO!?!

How do you get them to stop biting at 11 months old?? I've tried the firm NO. I tried biting him back, it worked for the first few times, then about a week later he remembered he could do it again. He just does the laugh & does it again.

Bri is sick. So she's laying in my bed. She was asleep til he started kissing her & pulling her hair. So I can't lay in there coz he takes it out on her, but he's refusing to sleep out here. She won't go to her own bed.

HELP!

I am not sure what to suggest about the big picture, but I did managed to put an end to my DD's biting at about 10/11 months by following a logical consequences approach. Every time she bit me, I yelped out loud (didn't have to make that up, it hurt!) said, "no, don't do that it hurts mum", and then put her straight down on the floor and turned away from her. She would always look startled and sometimes got a little upset. After a few seconds, I would treat her as per usual, pick her up and go about normal life without making a big deal. I had to do this about 4 times and then no more biting.

I would do the same thing with the headbutting or, I guess, any undesirable behavior based on the fact that toddlers want to interact with you and if this interaction is removed from them, they learn pretty quickly to engage in more desirable bahaviours. If you yell, punish, interact etc they continue to get your attention which is a positive in their mind even if it is negative reinforcement.

I hope you work something out pretty quickly, and your little girl picks up soon. I imagine your house feels a bit mad at the moment.

I tried that, & will have to try again I guess. He was going at a power board I have hidden before & I tried everything to distract/move him away, even smacked his hand in desperation............he laughed at me & screamed when I moved him & went back!
I'll do my best but I feel cruel when he starts screaming coz I put him down or took boob away or whatever it is.
Now I'll have a tough morning tomorrow coz they'll both be tired & DD1 needs to get to the bus & can't go alone, so I'll have to wake them up...

Hope things have improved today and it was just the full moon playing havoc on your house... although I believe the moon is not full at the moment :dunno:

My DD has been soooo grizzly these last few days and it is doing my head in. I honestly don't know how you are managing with more than one at the moment with DS and the behaviour you have described. Kudos to you for making it through the day!

I really hope you find something to work, if my suggestions don't work for you, I am sure someone else will have some advice. However, I believe that kids are pretty cluey and as soon as you set some clear fair rules and stick to them, they begin to respond as they understand what is going on and what is expected of them, ie: when I bite/headbutt I end up without mum's attention and that is not good, hence, don't bite/headbutt. (Sounds so simple doesn't it!) I know it feels cruel, but if you just turn away from DS for a really short time to make the point then go on as normal, as in don't make a big fuss of making up etc.

(Sorry if I have just repeated myself, I guess I just want to support you to give it another go... :D)

Lol, well he woke up very similar. But not as bad.
Its just the stage he's at I guess. Putting things in his mouth he knows he shouldn't have & taking off laughing as soon as he knows I'm going to get it. Then throwing a tanty when I do take it & going off to search for something else he knows he can't have!
All the while laughing that cheek evil little laugh!

Out at mum & dad's he will dig through the mown grass just out the front to find berries & ciggarette butts. He will happily do this all day!

Yeah, he bites boob on occasion too. But it only started the last few days.
Since I left him with mum. He doesn't want it, but he thinks if he lets go it'll disappear again, lol!

Often its the time they drive you crazy is the time you need to hold them closer to you. It's wierd but true sometimes.
