when is bedtime?

My DD used to go to bed at 7pm and wake at 5.30am.

Now I wait until 7.30pm-8.00pm to put her to bed but she still wakes around 5.30am.

I don't mind the early starts at all, just wondering what time yours go to bed? I have a pretty good routine, dinner at 5.30pm, shower at 6.00pm, play until 7.30pm and then bottle in bed, blankie, cuddle and kiss goodnight.

DD went to bed at 6.30pm tonight as she had a morning sleep of 45mins (very short) and no afternoon sleep so she was so tired. Hope this means she doesn't wake at midnight for a play!!!

Just interested to know what time others put theirs to bed.

DD normally goes down at 7pm, up at the moment at 7am no day sleep, on weekends when we can have dinner at 5.30 instead of 6 she goes down at 6.30 and sleeps til 7am

Pretty much the same as you!
Sometimes she will be up till 8/8:30pm but usual is 7:30 :)

People keep telling me to keep her up later so she will sleep in but it never worked - she would just get tired and cranky :rolleyes:

When DS was the same age as yours - his bedtime was 8.30 and he would sleep till about 6.30

Now he has no day sleep - so down at 6.45 - up at 5/5.30

730pm without fail, whether she's sleepy or not,unless we're out. she usually sleeps till about 730-830ish, she has no arvo sleeps tho.
She also wakes up a couple of nights a week too...cant wait till that stops!

My DD is still having a sleep in morning and afternoon. When do they cut it out?

My DS (16 months) daily routine is:

Up between 7 am and 8 am
Breakfast within the half hour
Bottle at 9 am
Down for morning nap at 9:30 am
Up anywhere between 10:30 and 11:30
Morning tea and lunch
Bottle at 2 pm
Down for nap at 2:30 pm
Up generally at 4:15 pm
No afternoon tea cause he doesn't eat his dinner
Dinner at 5:30 pm
Bath at 5:50 pm
Bottle at 6:30 pm
Then bed at 7 pm.

dont know if u want to know anything from me coz mia is only 16 weeks. But she goes down at 8pm and wakes at 7-8am.

QB - just follow her lead.. she'll let you know when she's ready to not do it.

DS dropped his pretty early cos he was going to daycare and just went down when all the older kids went down.

yeah it is. I still wake her up at 11pm for a feed coz i dont like the idea of her going 12 hours with nothing IYKWIM.

Yeah a dream feed....i use to do that at 4am when dh woke for work!!

At your DD's age my DD was still having 2 sleeps a day, morning and afternoon. She would be in bed by 7pm and usually awake fairly early for a bf. She would then sleep in bed with us until around 6:30-7am.

She dropped the morning nap by about 16 mths from memory, bed time hasn't changed until recently (7:30pm as she has dinner with us now). Thankfully the morning bf started to get later from about 18 mths, not before 6am usually.
